Davis was the ONLY journalist to take the entire (Day One to Day End) 1964 North American Tour with The Beatles, and he also served as George Harrison's ghost writer for Harrison's "Daily Journal" in the London Daily Express. The following year, Ivor was one of only 2 journalists selected by The Beatles to accompany them when they met Elvis for the first time!     The effervescent lead singer and drummer for Cowboy Mouth, Fred LeBlanc, is interviewed by Lanea Stagg of The Recipe Records Series of rock'n'roll cookbooks and Jude Southerland Kessler of biographical narrative series, The John Lennon Series.     Sara Schmidt releases ”Dear Beatle People”

    It's been years in the making, but Sara Schmidt will be releasing her comprehensive history of The Beatles North American Fan Clubs, a work entitled Dear Beatle People at the New York Metro Fest for Beatles Fans, 31 March- 2 April. This week, Sara sat down with Recipe Records author Lanea Stagg and John Lennon Series author Jude Southerland Kessler to discuss this beautiful hardback collector's book that includes over 100 unique photos!!! They talked about the difference between "sanctioned" clubs and "independent" fan clubs, the time that two rival Dallas clubs worked together for the lads, the "first" fan club in North America, and so much more! Sara was surprised to be joined by brilliant cover artist Eric Cash, her meticulous editor Janet Davis, and her gifted layout artist and advisor Amy McGrath Hughes. Both were there on the scene...and because of their prominence were chosen to tour with The Beatles the following year. But what led up to the rise of The Beatles in America in early '64? We'll talk about that...about Vietnam, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, and some of the year's biggest events. Lots of great photos of TV shows, stars, and events that made 1963 so singular.
