In season 2, we've talked about the shifts in culture, religion, politics, and the like. In our second episode, we discussed that the goal is to remove distraction and be focused on the task at hand (work, school, your marriage, your kids, church, etc.). As I wrap up season one of The Shift Changer Podcast, I sat down with my friend, Mike Rosas to talk about a topic we are both passionate about: Servant Leadership. Mike is the Houston Rockets Chaplain, business owner to several companies, co-founder with his beautiful wife, Lidiette, an orphanage in Soacha, Colombia called Love Bought International, and a father to 3 adorable children. Mike lives servant leadership in an extraordinary way fueled by the grace of God. I pray this episode blesses you and encourages you to live a life in service to others for the glory of God!

I sit down and talk with my lovely friend, Stephanie Jones. Stephanie is in an amazing wife, mama, newly fur mama, loves to capture beautiful family moments through photography among many other things. I barely knew Stephanie when I called her in 2017, but she mentioned in one of our photo sessions that she had experienced postpartum depression. In the middle of an extremely emotional moment where I felt I was spiraling, I called her. She stayed on the phone with me letting me talk it out, cry it out, and prayed for me. She then encouraged me to find a counselor. She would text me to check on me and send me encouraging scripture verses. Through that experience we became friends.

This episodes Sticky Note Quote is Philippians 4:6: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

Stephanie leaves us with these words of wisdom: Change is necessary for growth. Shift your mindset and embrace change…especially in motherhood. Ask for help and reach out for help. Mamas, you are not alone.
