    SHORE | INPUT OUTPUT | S01E06 | JAMES 1:19-21 | RANDALL CREASEY

Is your "Output" misrepresenting God? In this episode of SHORE, we move into the practical "Input-Output" method found in James 1:19-21. James, often called the "Proverbs of the New Testament," provides a specific biological and spiritual framework for maturity: being quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. We explore the "Tachycardia" of obedience—having a high-RPM readiness to move when God speaks—contrasted with the "Heaviness" required in our speech to let wisdom catch up to our emotions. Through the cautionary mirrors of Jonah’s flight into chaos and Moses’ impulsive strike at the rock, we see how failing this method misrepresents the very nature of the God we worship. Finally, we discuss the "Grafting" process: how to strip off our old, filthy identities and receive the implanted Word that is able to save our souls. It’s time to stop letting the Word just "sit" on us and start letting it fuse to our DNA. In this episode, we cover: The Sprinter’s Stance: Why "Quick to Hear" means having a high-RPM readiness to move. The Weight of Words: How to practice a "heaviness" of speech that allows wisdom to catch up to emotion. The Long Fuse: Understanding the Hebrew idiom for being "slow to anger" and turning irritation into compassion. The Mirror of Jonah & Moses: How our reactive impulses can distort God's character to the world. The Grafted Word: Why receiving the Word requires a "cut" to fuse His nature to ours. SHORE | PARALLAX | S01E05 | JAMES 1:16-18 | RANDALL CREASEY

Are you anchored to the truth, or are you drifting like a wandering star? In this episode of SHORE, we dive into James 1:16-18 to confront the subtle, slow drift of spiritual deception. James issues an urgent warning: “Do not be deceived.” But deception rarely looks like a blatant lie; it usually looks like a highly convincing counterfeit. We explore what it means to be so deeply saturated in the authentic Word of God that you can instantly spot a fake, just like a bank teller handling a counterfeit bill or a designer spotting an imitation font. We also look up at the "Father of lights," discovering that unlike the shifting stars and planets that experience parallax and eclipses, our God is perfectly constant. He has no variation and casts no shifting shadow. Finally, we look at the visceral story of Ehud and Eglon in Judges 3 to understand why the Word of God must be a sharp, two-edged sword that pierces our fleshly nature, and we challenge ourselves to adopt the noble, truth-seeking standard of the Bereans. In this episode, we cover: What the Greek word for "deceived" reveals about wandering stars. How to spot the enemy's counterfeits before you take the bait. The astronomical reality of our unchanging "Father of lights."Why God's Word must be a double-edged sword that pierces our comfort. How to store up the Bible like precious gold rather than forgotten junk. SHORE | GLITTER | S01E04 | JAMES 1:12-15 | RANDALL CREASEY

In this episode, we tackle the grueling reality of trials and the dangerous mechanics of temptation in James 1:12-15. Why do we fall into the same traps? Why are we so quick to play the blame game when we sin? James, the half-brother of Jesus, uses vivid hunting and fishing imagery to show us exactly how the enemy works. We’ll explore the difference between the trials God uses to refine us and the customized "bait" the enemy uses to lure us out of safety. We also look at the lifecycle of sin—how it is conceived in the dark, grows up, and ultimately brings forth death—and how the power of the resurrected Christ offers us the imperishable "crown of life" if we remain steadfast. SHORE | VERTIGO | S01E03 | JAMES 1:6-11 | RANDALL CREASEY

In this episode of SHORE, we step into the chaotic waters of James 1:6-11. After learning that God gives wisdom generously, James gives us a warning: do not waver. We explore the vivid imagery of the "double-minded" man, a person torn between two masters, unstable in all his ways, and driven by the wind like a wave of the sea. We also confront the false stability of wealth, looking at how the "rich man" fades away like a flower under the scorching heat. Are you digging "broken cisterns" that can't hold water, or are you planted by the Living Water? Join us as we learn to find our footing in the midst of life's vertigo. SHORE | REMAIN UNDER | S01E02 | JAMES 1:3-5 | RANDALL CREASEY

When the waves of life crash over us, our instinct is to run for cover. But what if the purpose of the storm isn't to break us, but to build us? In this episode of SHORE, we dive into James 1:3-5 to explore the concept of "Hupomonē"—the Greek word for steadfastness or "remaining under." James challenges us not to escape the pressure, but to let it finish its work in us. We also look at the promise that follows: if we don't know how to navigate the storm, we have a God who gives wisdom generously to all who ask. Join us as we learn how to stand firm in the surf and ask for the wisdom to navigate the deep waters. SHORE | SEVERE JOY | S01E01 | JAMES 1:1-2 | RANDALL CREASEY

James, the brother of Jesus, opens his letter not with a title of honor, but with a title of surrender: "Bondservant." In this opening episode of our journey through the Book of James, we explore what it means to bind ourselves to God out of love rather than obligation. We dig into the impossible command to "count it all joy" when we face trials of various kinds—not by pretending the pain isn't real, but by realizing the Master is in the boat with us. Using the cinematic imagery of the disciples trapped in a storm (Mark 4) and the dark valley of Psalm 23, we discover that true joy isn't found in the absence of the storm, but in the presence of the Shepherd. Whether you are in a season of calm or navigating the "valley of the shadow," this message invites you to see your trials as a pathway to a clearer vision of who God is. Scripture References: James 1:1-2, Mark 4:35-41 (The Storm), Psalm 23:4 (The Valley), Job 42:5 (From Hearing to Seeing) Chapters: (00:00) Intro (00:34) Reading James 1:1-2 (02:15) Opening Prayer (02:30) The Skeptic Turned Servant (Who was James?) SHORE | PEACE RESTORED | PROLOGUE | JOHN 21 | RANDALL CREASEY

In this Prologue to the series, we uncover the heart behind the name "Shore." Based on John 21:1-14, we explore the powerful contrast between the boat—representing our human striving, chaos, and "empty nets"—and the Shore, the place of solid ground where Jesus waits with peace, provision, and a charcoal fire. After the chaos of the crucifixion, Peter retreated to the familiar safety of his fishing boat, only to find emptiness. But Jesus calls him (and us) out of the turbulence and onto the solid ground to dine with Him. This episode sets the foundation for our study: learning to leave the chaos of our own efforts to find peace restored in His presence.
