I like true crime podcasts and listen to quite a few of them. This one caught my attention because they covered the story of the tree stand murders in Wisconsin. I have yet to find any other podcast that covered it. Unfortunately, that is where my positive comments end. I found the host to be an ignorant and arrogant person. When discussing murder cases, one should treat the victims with the respect that they deserve. At times, the host would even joke about the people and the manner in which they died. If they were referring to a family member or friend of mine, I would be upset by the way they were represented. The podcast was extremely lacking in the amount of research that was done. He basically read one source and took it all from there. In this case, the assailant was of Hmong descent. When pronouncing that name, the H is silent. It is pronounced Mong, a simple golly e search would have informed him that the name is not pronounced “ha-mong”. This is one simple example. He also insinuated that all people from Wisconsin are back woods rednecks. Quite frankly, I am surprised that they have made it as far in the podcasting world as they have. This was my first and last listen. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A QUALITY, WELL-RESEARCHED, TRUE CRIME PODCAST, KEEP LOOKING, YOU WON’T FIND IT HERE.
