Great potential
I love the concept of this podcast - SIFF has incredible access to relevant filmmakers, so it’s great to hear from them about the making of their own films. The content is there, but I have to say, it needs better and more diverse hosting. No one involved seems to have any interview or radio training, which leads to long-winded questions, poor mic technique, and disappointing audio production. I would also love to hear different hosts (i.e. women and poc) as this podcast is VERY white, which, granted, is on-brand for Seattle, but still - less white men dominating the conversation would be refreshing. Keep up the great guests, but please level-up your game, SIFF!
Disappointing
There is a lot of interesting ways to do a podcast - especially honoring film! You’d think they would make something with more interesting story and sound - instead they’ve basically made a boring radio talk show that isn’t reflective of the quality of films SIFF curates. There are just many more ways to be creative in this medium.
