Significant Lovers

As a pop culture lover this has always been one of my favorite podcasts and you also learn so much about things you wouldn’t expect. There’s also historical couples so you get to learn more about different time periods too. Another aspect I love is that the hosts are sisters/cousins and depending on how back you listen you get some of their family lore which is always fun!

the perfect blend of factual history and conjecture / personal takes on the love lives of celebrities! Such a good podcast and alsoooo Kelly your voice reminds me so much of Rachel McAdams it’s so soothing 💖💖

This podcast has the potential to be excellent. I love the concept. Unfortunately, the podcasters themselves will hopefully get better as time goes by. I am not sure if there is a "how to podcast" class, but there should be. There is an air of immaturity in their small talk, the small talk is too much and too long and too unrelated, and it feels like the podcasters who are not currently speaking feel the need to make some sort of responsive noise, which is usually a giggle at something not funny, the way people who are uncomfortable or insecure laugh in the middle of a sentence. It seems the podcasters are young, and the entire presentation could use a bit more polish and professional maturity. I have referred this podcast to a couple of people and I have done so by saying, "great concept, but you will really have to work to hear past the podcasters or you won't make it through. They spend lot of time talking about things they may discuss among themselves at the nail salon without the awareness that most people do not find that brand of small talk funny or interesting." I do wish them the best of luck, but I also hope they study their craft a bit more so they can strike that successful balance of letting your personality shine through while not distracting from the story or talking just to talk. I believe this could be a popular podcast, but it can be really hard to not feel like you're at a junior high lunch table while waiting for the real story to begin. The only reason I made it through the very first podcast I was listening to was because it was on in my car and my phone had fallen under my seat and I couldn't get it to register on my display, so I was forced to listen to it until my car came to a stop. Had it not been for that, I would've turned it off in the first five minutes.

I was excited about the topic of this pod, but the podcasters jump all around and waste so much time off topic it’s annoying. I couldn’t make it through one episode.
