    4 Lies Parents Tell

    4 Lies Parents Tell

In our house, we never lie. At least that’s what I hear dads often tell me. But, is that true? Is it accurate to say that we never lie in this house? It’s actually very common for parents to lie to their own children. And is that bad?
Is it wrong every time a parent lies? Does it need to stop? Are you telling your kids these lies, and maybe not even realizing that you are? And where do we go from there? That’s what today’s episode is all about… so let’s get started.

    The Strength to Lead

    The Strength to Lead

We live in challenging times. Turn on the news or check the newsfeed and it seems like there is story after story of chaos, of war, and of disease and death. Then there are the stories of political unrest and economic unrest. Inflation is out of control. The future is so uncertain. It can seem like there is darkness everywhere you look.
And then, bringing it in closer to home, for far too many men their homes are not the peaceful oasis they have hoped for. Inside the house there is fighting, there is anger, there is sadness, and there is confusion.
It can certainly make things seem impossible to navigate.
How is a man supposed to lead his family through all this? How are you supposed to do that in such a world? Where do you get the strength to do this? That’s what I’m getting into on today’s episode… so let’s get started.

    Answering Questions About the Bible

    Answering Questions About the Bible

Over the years of leading events for men and working with men, something common that comes up is questions about the Bible. There are so many questions. Who wrote it? When was it written? Who was it written to? How is it structured? What are the Old and New Testaments about? What are the individual books about? And tons more.
Because of these kinds of questions, I’ve written a new book called the Tactical Guide to the Bible, available at Amazon right now. And in today’s episode, I’m going to answer some of these big questions about the Bible. .. so, let’s get started.

    Questions answered in this episode:
     What is the Bible?
How is the Bible structured?Who wrote the Bible? When was the Bible written?
There is so much more than one short episode can cover, exploring the Bible is a lifelong journey. Get your copy of the Tactical Guide to the Bible today:

    Helping Someone Change

    Helping Someone Change

Over the last several weeks on the podcast, I’ve been tackling some of the big and serious issues of mental health, men, and the church. On today’s episode, the topic is still as big and serious, but not quite so heavy. I’ll share today some thoughts on how to help someone who is dealing with these challenges, how to help them to change, so let’s get started.

    Suicide and the Church

    Suicide and the Church

If there is a topic that seems to never be, or rarely is, discussed in church, it is the topic of suicide. There isn’t much that is more heartbreaking than suicide. And the impact is far more reaching than the one life that was lost. Family members, friends, co-workers, people in the community, and future generations are all affected by one person’s choice.
I’m in the middle of a series on Christian men, the church, and mental health and today I’m going to dig into this important topic of suicide and the church. It’s not an easy one to talk about, but it needs to be discussed, so let’s get started.

A great resource for stronger Christian men

Warren had put together a great collection of conversations to help men in becoming the strong, Christian leaders they were created to be. This world is broken and there are many mixed messages about what it means to be a follower of Christ, and what it means to be a man. Appreciate the perspectives here and the additional resources so that I can learn how to lead my family better.

Bright Light of the Week

This show gives hope and understanding in a rather challenging world. Really helps to recharge me to focus on my purpose as a man.
