Your not angry just frustrated That hard work is not appreciated To show some decency Towards a man trying to live up to his ability All yo want to do is make them proud For they have always been around All you want is them to applaud For all your efforts out loud.

    Black Lives Matter

Music by: AShamaluevMusic Music found on Soundcloud: Inspirational Ambient - Uplifting Background Music Instrumental (FREE DOWNLOAD) Black lives matter Is a serious matter It’s not just a phrase But a strong case Against brutality Caused by white supremacy By those who promised to serve and protect Upholding the law Not realizing the devastating effect I have a dream So many people scream Famously uttered by Martin Luther King Fighting for this very reason To stand up against discrimination To end bigotry and segregation To be part of a civilized nation Where your not judged by the color of your skin Where you’re no longer a minority And there is equality Unfortunately it’s still a dream Cause we are living a nightmare of a reality You ask what’s the matter Black lives matter It’s not a fancy hash tag To put on a T-shirt Like some graphite art It is a strong message Representing the many affected, different ages Living in fear Wondering is this the year I get shot or beaten For asking a simple question Or crossing an intersection You’re filled with rage Cause one man took the stage To address this hate Kneeling to the anthem To shed light on this matter, Black lives matter Like Malcolm Now he is axed Cast away and isolated Cause he used his voice and presence To speak up against your ignorance To shatter your privileged arrogance On the subject matter, black lives matter How many deaths will it take To see a mothers heart break, ache See her child on the news Become a headline, breaking news Not for prizes or accolades But a photo, deceased due to hate Are you so blinded by the system That you don’t realize we live in a broken system Where whites can carry guns and protest But blacks can’t even go to the grocery store without a consent Are we really in a first world country Where politicians pretend to try To understand this grave matter Blacks lives matter Where they only care about their congressional seats Making fake promises of reform Making glorified speeches, we understand But when the time comes, they refuse to stand For the one matter, Black lives matter So have we really progressed as a nation What is the measure of our progression The technological advancements of our generation Are we that naive that we can’t comprehend The simple human interactions Are broken and divided Because one race is considered superior And another inferior That is not progression That is a nation in regression Cause we can’t address what matters Black lives matters!

    A Reflective Period

Music by: AShamaluevMusic Music found on Soundcloud: Atmospheric Cinematic Ambient - Inspiring and Emotional Background Music (FREE DOWNLOAD) It’s a reflective period During this quarantine period Regarding my character and behavior On topics of sensitivity and candor Not taken seriously Is the image currently Fueled by actions and moments Of complete embarrassments. Firstly I must apologize As I do realize I play a part, small or big When being an absolute prick I’m partly to blame Assuming it’s fun and games Using words not thinking Whose hurting Words are dangerous They cut deeper Then a knife through butter Not realizing the person in front will suffer Due to lack of common sense and character We forget to be mindful for the simple things Humility, generosity, kindness among other things Quick to judge a book by its cover Not take the time to read the first page Cause the first impression is what matters Maybe it’s the kid in me Or the lack of maturity Tarnishi  ng my personality Trying to be goofy We are all guilty of this Not realizing that actions have consequences Inflicting stress on mans mental state Setting him up for depression A life time state Bullying is a real thing Social media ain’t playing It’s a fun way to connect But socially there is a disconnect People ganging up on an individuals Not realizing they are being cynical Are We trying to climb a social chain While acting like a complete pain Towards those who love us But respect us to much to tell us Time to step back and reevaluate Before it’s to late reflect and be straight Before people start to hate The attitude And tell us, stay away Dude. We live in a world full of sensitivity As education and technology Advance beyond our capability We must think before we speak Even though the first amendment states freedom of speech But there should be a disclaimer Read the room and social cues Before you speak It’s not too late to act your age Apply knowledge And move past days of college Use your maturity and sensibility Because we are part of a community

    Our Deepest Fear

Inspired by a Poem: Our Deepest Fear Poem: Marianne Williamson Music by: AShamaluevMusic Music found on Soundcloud: Uplifting Piano - Beautiful and Inspirational Background Music (FREE DOWNLOAD) Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure Beautiful, strong and pure Don’t let the world bring you down based on Your gender, race, faith, sexual orientation Or your political affiliation You’re unique one of kind With a strong conscious mind It is our light, not our darkness That most frightens us Your kindness brings people together When things don’t seem to be clear Because it’s in your nature To love, an emotion That feels the heart with joy But also great sorrow When you lose someone dear making you hollow We ask ourselves Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Stand in front of the mirror See the reflection of a conqueror One who has won battles of discrimination Stood up to oppression Sided truth during adversity With every fiber of your ability Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God You playing small Does not serve the world It only makes the hateful stronger Because they have the power To inflict pain Cause you took the back seat again Which is a shame There is no one to blame But you, for not standing up when we counted on you There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking So that other people won’t feel insecure around you Your vulnerability is the essence of your humanity Having the fear of failure Makes you rise higher Speak up for those that matter That is the strength of your vulnerability A strong asset of your personality We were all meant to shine as children do Full of life and happiness Filled with curiosity and bravery As well as innocence and creativity Being an inspiration to a nation Following our emotions Cause we were born to make manifest The glory of God that is within us It’s not just in some of us It’s in everyone And as we let our own light shine We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same Because at the end of the day we may be different but we are still the same Burning inside with a flame To make the world a better place At a continued pace Together, as we are liberated from our own fear Our presences automatically liberates others.

Is Your Life Happy and Meaningful

Music by: AShamaluevMusic Music found on Soundcloud: Cinematic Ambient - Inspirational and Emotional Background Music Instrumental (FREE DOWNLOAD) The simple philosophies Make the mind question our realities Affecting our ideology Disrupting a well crafted human methodology Questions upon questions About the simple things like happiness Until a scholar decides to add some flair to his craziness And ask you about meaningfulness He goes, son are you happy If so, why do need to indulge in materialistic things to make you happy Does it give you satisfaction A rare moment of jubilation A smile to last you a few seconds Until you’re of to something new within seconds Does it give meaning to your life This new found happiness As you share on Facebook to show the world Your trending awesomeness Is it the likes, the retweets or mentions That lift you on a pedestal To elevate your emotion That’s make you happy But really you’re just empty Is being happy searching for validation In a new generation of interactions Chatting, snap chatting Gathering momentum virtually But you struggling personally Is that giving your life meaning Or are you another mannequin in the making? Putting on a smile, creating a facade So ask yourself this question Is happiness the same as meaningfulness If you were to give up all things material Would your life still have meaning Standing under a clear sky With a slight breeze Feeling free no more compromise Your counter argument To this predicament I have family and friends To make me happy To give me meaning They are always there supporting Lifting me up when I am drowning My life line through thick and thin My protective armor on my skin There is no disputing A life worth living Happiness is not the same as a sense of meaning. How do we go about finding a meaningful life, not just a happy one Is it the warmth of the sun Or having all your hearts desires This is a cross road Its very odd In one hand you have everything In another nothing So what is the real meaning Of being happy A philosophers riddle Which has left right you in the middle.

    Will I Make It Big?

Music By: AShamaluevMusic Found on Soundcloud: Emotions - Electronic and Cinematic Background Music For Videos & Films (FREE DOWNLOAD) Ever sit and wonder About life and ponder What am doing here Watching people do it big While seated on the couch, Will I ever make it big That’s the dilemma Am I in the right career 1 to 2 shifts, 40 hour weeks Sometimes overtime All that hard work So that we can enjoy societies few perks. Growing up you were told Go to school get an education If you use the right determination You will beat the competition So you stayed up, studied hard Cause that was your golden ticket to go abroad The best universities One step closer to financial securities. Has it been worth it Let’s weigh the pros and cons of it A nice house, a nice car Social gatherings and vacations deserved for your relentless ambition What more can you ask for? Let’s see, bills and debt For your luxury corvette To impress a Brunette Maintaining an expensive lifestyle Now your a modern day slave not to a human But to power, money and the corporate lifestyle Now you start to think Is this how I want my life to be Will I ever be free of this corporate greed Or will I have to wait till retirement To enjoy my desires and Be left with a bit of regret I did not take that risk, the chance I wish I had a second chance That’s not the case, your still on your couch Day dreaming of a future with so many Unanswered questions The truth is, you know the answers to those questions But your scared to let go, cause failure is not an option at this stage Of your age Your happy with what you’ve accomplished It’s comfortable and it’s your normal Why would you stop now to try something different You know it’s difficult To start again from scratch Invest your cash Because you pondered And wondered Will I ever make it big

    What is History?

Music Composed by: AShamaluevMusic Calm Inspiration - Inspirational Background Music / Beautiful Cinematic Music (FREE DOWNLOAD) What is history? Is it the past That collects dust, In hidden pages of books Till ones curiosity is peaked To uncover the truth Or the interpretation of what they believe to be the truth What is history? Is it a story A recollection of memory Of events that happened a few seconds, minutes or hours ago To relive moments forgotten To bring back joy or sadness from years or days ago Or a date on the calendar To celebrate an occasion that matters Making it important So that we feel significant What is history? Is it facts or fiction Based on a man or woman’s recollection Of events under observation To be scribes for the future generations Do we believe the documentations to be right Or take it with a grain of salt assuming that men of past saw right Do we believe their was no bias The words spoken are a true collection of events and not an alliance To make a few look powerful while others looks weak What is history? Is it rules and regulations Without which the world would be in chaos Already a cause 6 billion years ago At least that’s what has been told to maintain order So we don’t end up as fossils deep below Which the human race follow now without any hesitation Politicians quoting Kings and emperors of old, emulating their ambition To keep the powerful rich and the poor, poor Cause of some laws written sometime in the past Which now society follows like a binding contract What is history? Is it religion The stories in scriptures Taught by scholars Depending on your region To believe in a higher power That all humans have in common But approach it different Challenging your belief by questioning your faith Cause a scholar said their is only one and the rest are fake Said confidentially As though it’s a fact that no one can attack Leaving us divided but similar Cause we are all believers So what is History? I believe it is what you want it to be A story from your memory A lesson from the past Or rules for the future forecast What every you choose it to be It will be a portfolio for many to see So in a nutshell, I believe history is the essence of life fully lived.

    What's Your Name

Music By: Ahmed Hussein: Spotify handel: @USTATH What’s your name It don’t matter you ain’t got fame Societies response to a nobody So get your ass up and be a somebody Ain’t no time to be a bum and let shit drop in your laps, Running incomplete laps While the rest are preparing for sprints For a prize, Which you’ll idolize You must be thinking What’s this Kat thinking All up my business, personal space and bubble Looking for trouble See I ain’t here to give you a lecture On how to be the next great rapper I’m here to get you thinking On future you’ll be missing See I had my fair share of procrastinating Day dreaming and contemplating Of the things that could be If I applied my talent where it needed to be It’s the same mistakes That everybody makes Thinking they have time, sitting idol Imagining themselves on American Idol Don’t base your success on likes and shares Those are illusions to make you care Thinking you the next fresh prince of belle air Success and failures come and go They don’t define you Rather build you For how far you’ll go Everyone’s got a hustle Who can put something on the table But it’s really about determination Who can move mountains with their ambition If your motivation is money You’ve lost half the battle buddy Money will buy you popularity But it will suck you dry of integrity Ask yourself a question How you going to impact the next generation A one time hit on social media and a forgotten name Or in the books for hall of fame Now you wondering why am I pushing? Cause you have something special brewing Look in the mirror, You’ll see greatness A man destined for success Look you got two choices Sit on your bum and tell stories Or apply yourself, hard work and talent Take center stage and be today’s talent It’s free advise Take or leave it No body holding you at gun point To accept it Just remember it’s in your hands Where you land On the streets and wondering what if Or up in Beverly Hills Releasing the next hit! Today is tomorrow’s past What you do now, will last It’s not about writing history It’s about writing a perfect story

    2020 Year of Progression

It's 2020, a year of progression But it feels like we’re in recession, People wondering where it went wrong 2008 is far gone, Men still hanging on hope Preached by Obama, dope. Its the same story Governments bask in their glory, All pathetic lies Media fooling our eyes, Stuck in this trance Blinded by ignorance. I know a man called John Doe, Hates to associate with any status quo. Looks out the window at people fighting, Fueling, the media’s ratings. White, black, brown it don't matter As long as it's change, it's better The rich spilling money thinking it's a game, While the middle class waiting to make a name. Keep telling yourself You're on the right side Where in fact you're just here for the ride. Making noise, he's not my president Now you're stuck like a non immigrant, Walking around with signs protesting shouting on top of your lungs resisting, If thats all it takes to change a world Don’t you think we would be free of war and drugs. Stars, stripes, red and blue are not just shapes and colors to you It's sweat and blood of millions before you. Take a moment and realize an opportunity To stand together and get rid of bigotry, We are evolved from just right or left wing We are a conscious being. Let's put a side our differences, What we feel deep inside to be suffering. Let's prove the world wrong That we are not far from gone 08 may be in the past, But the future is what we cast. We are one nation, filled with love, gratitude and emotion. Not divided but united ready to be lifted By the anthem so strongly we listen. A strong reminder in any season Its the United States of America. From New York to California.
