Simply Vanished

I first heard about Josh Guimmond’s case on YouTube. Wanting to explore it further, I happened upon this podcast. I’m so glad these people are in this for the right reasons and want to help further the investigation. I’m glad there are people who care about Josh’s disappearance and want him to be found. This type of work is so valuable and helpful to these situations. The in-depth look at all the facts really helps you be an armchair investigator right along with the narrarators of the podcast. Great work.

UPDATE 3/26 Very disappointed Josh ghosted this podcast and its website, which has been overtaken by web spammers using it to promote shady products. I know he probably got ahead of himself in building a media company but that is no excuse for an attorney to be so cavalier. == Orig: SV is distinctive because the host is a seasoned litigation attorney. He knows how to get people to agree talk about difficult topics, and how to ask the right questions to bring forward details that might actually advance a case like Josh Guimond's. It's not a slick piece of journalism, and it's not supposed to be. If you're looking for another rehash of old cases that you can just buzz through and forget, beware, because this one hits differently.

I was turned off from the very first sentence. When you said you grew up on the MN border very near where Jacob Wetterling was from. I’m not sure why you lied about that because the WI border is nowhere near where Jacob is from. I’m from the area and literally have taken the route he disappeared. When you start your podcast with lies it just turned me off. I didn’t trust anything else you said, which made sense why you had to have other people make up the bulk of the show because you don’t personally know anything clearly.

I’m convinced we would have less cold cases with deep dives like this. Few podcasts blow me away anymore because they’re easy to produce and lack commitment. This podcast isn’t just doing it for the fame, they care about Josh. What a tremendous work for a first timer.
