    A Cross-Country Move, Cold Cuts & Mom Guilt

    Season 2, Episode 8 (even though our hosts can't keep track and think it's 7) opens on a rainy Memorial Day weekend with a pivot — Liberty Science Center was packed, so Stefany took her family to TJ Maxx instead, dropped an egg on her slippers, and bought new ones. Very on brand. But the real news belongs to Stephanie: she and Craig are moving to California. The Bay Area. With a seven-year-old, a dog, and a life they've built in Accord over the past several years. She shares how Max found out — not in a planned sit-down conversation, but mid-overheard-realtor-call — and what happened next: 45 minutes of crying, hitting, dry heaving and full emotional breakdown, followed by an almost eerie 180 into the happiest, most bubbly version of himself, picking up trash on the neighborhood trail because he wants to be kind to Mother Earth. They unpack what that emotional whiplash might mean, how to include kids in big transitions without overwhelming them, whether to do a going away party, and how to tell his school without the last weeks of class becoming a daily grief loop.
