Game Engines: The Mandalorian, Indie Game Development, Crazy Mods, Better Graphics, & Realistic Character Creation

The sisters talk about game engines, such as Unity and Unreal, and their many uses in gaming and media production. They discuss its usage in The Mandalorian, Indie Game Development, Game Modding, AI Advancements, The Technology Race between Game Engine Companies, the TikTok Ban congressional hearing, Influencer Laws and Social Media Laws for Minors, & More! Game Engines: A game engine is a software framework primarily designed for the development of video games and generally includes relevant libraries and support programs. The "engine" terminology is similar to the term "software engine" used in the software industry. The game engine can also refer to the development software utilizing this framework, typically offering a suite of tools and features for developing games. Developers can use game engines to construct games for video game consoles and other types of computers. The core functionality typically provided by a game engine may include a rendering engine ("renderer") for 2D or 3D graphics, a physics engine or collision detection (and collision response), sound, scripting, animation, artificial intelligence, networking, streaming, memory management, threading, localization support, scene graph, and video support for cinematics. Game engine implementers often economize on the process of game development by reusing/adapting, in large part, the same game engine to produce different games or to aid in porting games to multiple platforms. DNA Tests: Secret Families, Kissing Cousins, & The Golden State Killer

The sisters talk about 23 & Me, Ancestry databases, and GEDmatch, and the many uses for genetic testing, ancestry databases, and DNA results. They discuss, Chimera Moms, Inappropriate Doctors, Miracle Surragacies, Icelandic Dating Practices, Clones, Evil Twins, and Crime Scene Uses Including Catching The Golden State Killer. Genetic testing, also known as DNA testing, is used to identify changes in DNA sequence or chromosome structure. Genetic testing can also include measuring the results of genetic changes, such as RNA analysis as an output of gene expression, or through biochemical analysis to measure specific protein output. In a medical setting, genetic testing can be used to diagnose or rule out suspected genetic disorders, predict risks for specific conditions, or gain information that can be used to customize medical treatments based on an individual's genetic makeup. Genetic testing can also be used to determine biological relatives, such as a child's biological parentage (genetic mother and father) through DNA paternity testing, or be used to broadly predict an individual's ancestry. Genetic testing of plants and animals can be used for similar reasons as in humans (e.g. to assess relatedness/ancestry or predict/diagnose genetic disorders), to gain information used for selective breeding, or for efforts to boost genetic diversity in endangered populations. The variety of genetic tests has expanded throughout the years. Early forms of genetic testing which began in the 1950s involved counting the number of chromosomes per cell. Deviations from the expected number of chromosomes (46 in humans) could lead to a diagnosis of certain genetic conditions such as trisomy 21 (Down syndrome) or monosomy X (Turner syndrome). In the 1970s, a method to stain specific regions of chromosomes, called chromosome banding, was developed that allowed more detailed analysis of chromosome structure and diagnosis of genetic disorders that involved large structural rearrangements. In addition to analyzing whole chromosomes (cytogenetics), genetic testing has expanded to include the fields of molecular genetics and genomics which can identify changes at the level of individual genes, parts of genes, or even single nucleotide "letters" of DNA sequence. According to the National Institutes of Health, there are tests available for more than 2,000 genetic conditions, and one study estimated that as of 2018 there were more than 68,000 genetic tests on the market. ChatGPT: The Dark Side Of AI Chat Bots vs. The Benefits

The sisters talk about Chat GPT: discussing AI Chatbot capabilities, benefits, and risks. They have Chat GPT build a video game from scratch, recite poetry about a 70,000 year old space walrus, and discuss how companies are already incorporating this technology into their business models and marketing schemes. They also discuss cases gone wild, where Chat GPT has become hostile, flirty, smart enough to bypass CAPTCHA systems, and is seemingly sentient. Other technologies such as Google's Bard are being developed to keep up with the new world that this AI is building. The sisters also discuss the potential TikTok ban that may go into effect, as President Biden was bipartisanly granted the power to ban it, unless Chinese company, Bytedance, sells it to an American company - either Oracle or Walmart. ChatGPT is a member of the generative pre-trained transformer (GPT) family of language models. It was fine-tuned (an approach to transfer learning over an improved version of OpenAI's GPT-3 known as "GPT 3.5". The fine-tuning process leveraged both supervised learning as well as reinforcement learning in a process called reinforcement learning from human feedback. Both approaches used human trainers to improve the model's performance. In the case of supervised learning, the model was provided with conversations in which the trainers played both sides: the user and the AI assistant. In the reinforcement learning step, human trainers first ranked responses that the model had created in a previous conversation. These rankings were used to create 'reward models' that the model was further fine-tuned on using several iterations of Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO). Proximal Policy Optimization algorithms present a cost-effective benefit to trust region policy optimization algorithms; they negate many of the computationally expensive operations with faster performance. The models were trained in collaboration with Microsoft on their Azure supercomputing infrastructure, using Nvidia GPUs, "supercomputer developed for OpenAI is a single system with more than 285,000 CPU cores, 10,000 GPUs and 400 gigabits per second of network connectivity for each GPU server".
