My artistic foundation in video art continues to inspire my development of radical narratives that challenge the contemporary viewer. I currently teach at the University of Missouri in the Digital Storytelling and Film Studies Production Departments within the School of Visual Studies.     S1E1 - John McElroy (Director)

    On this episode, we talk with Director John McElroy. John McElroy here. Producer, actor, co-director and songwriter for the independent feature film “Rocky Mountain Fast Guy” and its all original soundtrack. Being a musician/songwriter is how I first learned my love for creating something from nothing. Being a filmmaker was another way to do just that. I had a story. Obtaining locations, actors, crew, props, etc. as well as coordinating schedules and somehow surrounding yourself with talented people and friends was something I didn’t know I could do. I need level headed, problem solvers around me. So for me it‘s about being honest, semi-realistic and sharing the enthusiasm, and although everything costs money it’s not about transactions, it’s about relationships. It’s emotional, exciting and sometimes disappointing but you’ll be creating.
