Destroying in a Good Way: Our Search for a New Drummer Begins
Right after we finished recording Episode 174, Eric suddenly told us he was leaving the band effective immediately. Since making this news public we've been practically overwhelmed with messages from prospective drummers, which has been very encouraging. This week, joined by fiddler Heide Riggs, we bring you up to speed while looking ahead to the future.

Arm-Crossy
Episode 173 was recorded in the van shortly after leaving the Nick in Birmingham, AL, the final date of our "Beast Coast" tour. Heide Riggs joins us again to talk about our experiences on the road, and of course we kill/rescue some songs as well.
We'll be going out on the road again with Heide in July & August. In meantime, we have a couple shows with Chris Buckley coming up in mid-July (Houston & College Station).
But before all that: this THURSDAY, June 9th, Paddy will be playing a solo acoustic show at the Big Top in Houston, sharing the bill with Hugh Morrison and Joe Walmsley. Paddy goes on first at 9 PM.

Roar of Authority
Episode 172 was recorded late at night in Broomall, PA, a few hours after our gig in Rockville, MD. This is the second time we've done a show at the DevMo household (first time was Episode 138 last September). Fiddler Heide Riggs joins us to recap the tour so far, kill some overplayed songs and shine a light on some (by our estimation) underrated/under-appreciated music. Featuring a guest appearances by our gracious host, Tim Mohan.

Customer Reviews
Absolutely brilliant!
I’ve loved their music for years, my daughters first concert was Blaggards, it doesn’t hurt that Patrick is easy on the eyes. At a recent concert he mentioned they do a podcast, I had no idea! Now I’m playing catch up and loving every minute! Ta boys!!
I love it!
Congrats. Really. The content is fantastic and extremely interesting.
Thanks for all the hard work, Smalley.

You don't need a restraining order!
Always packed with great inside information, history, references to other bands, pubs and podcasts. But the most fun for me is picking out Patrick's off the cuff analogies and comments. Always entertaining, just like their live shows. I guarantee you will never see the same Blaggards show twice. You may think you know the lyrics, but you don't. LEMMMMONNNN CAKE!!!
