    Emmett Louis Till, born on July 25, 1941, tragically lost his life on August 28, 1955, at the age of 14. He was a young African American boy who was abducted, tortured, and ultimately lynched in Mississippi by domestic terrorists.

The construction of Black Wall Street began in the early 1900s when African American settlers arrived in Tulsa after the famous Land Run of 1889, which saw the opening of vast lands in the Western United States.
