I like to learn stuff. I've always enjoyed learning random (like the most random) things from whoever was willing to talk to me. This podcast is a tribute to that curiosity that I've always had in me, and that hopefully you have in you as well. I'm sitting down to have a conversation with anyone I find interesting to see what I can pick out of their brains. From business owners, to old friends; from chefs to conspiracy theorists, this is Small Stuff.
Small Stuff 5: Taylor Walden
Taylor is an extremely impressive young business woman. She started her personalized gift business while still in school at East Carolina University. Now, at only 22 years old, Taylor, her husband Nick, and their employees run a multimillion dollar personalized gift business with a growth rate that isn't showing any signs of slowing. From working at a daycare and practicing calligraphy to pass the time, to running one of the largest personalized gift businesses in the U.S... this is Small Stuff.
Small Stuff 4: Reyhan Dzeko
Reyhan is a car guy like myself. Unlike me however, Reyhan has somewhere between 10 and 20 cars (specifically BMW E30s) in his possession at any given moment. He really has a problem. He joined me for this episode to talk cars, side hustles, and just doing what you love. From side hustles to slabs on coilovers, from his name isn't "Ryan" to learning how to actually say his last name correctly... this is Small Stuff.
Small Stuff 3: Richard Williams
Richard Williams is a former university professor turned restauranteur. I met Richard when I was one of his students at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. He is an extremely well accomplished educator who's won numerous prestigious awards, and is now an extremely well accomplished restaurant owner who's been featured in numerous publications including Forbes. From recreation and leisure studies to risking it all for the perfect slice... this is Small Stuff.
Small Stuff 2: Josh & Bryton
Josh and Bryton are a couple friends of mine that run Stumpy's Hatchet House in Greenville, NC. They sat down with me to talk the revitalization of our town, how a humanities degree helps in customer service, and me and Josh inadvertently teamed up against Bryton for a moment. From city history to wtf is a whirly gig?... this is Small Stuff.
Small Stuff 1: Jamie Bullock
Jamie is an old friend of mine; old enough to be my actual dad. He sat down with me one night to talk about the town we both grew up in, Greenville, NC. We talked about its history and mostly HIS history with it. From how a 17 year-old became best friends with an old metal head in his mid-40s, to Greenville's once thriving music scene in the 80's and 90's (where Jamie mingled with some bands you've probably heard of...) this is Small Stuff.
