She's also currently finishing her degree in Business, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, and preparing for a new career. We begin to talk about her previous training preparation when it was winter time and how she stayed sane while traveling to different places to train and compete. She also shares with me how they do fundraising to fund their expenses and how she fought for gender equality in the sports she has been for years. Listening to Haley's journey proves how brave and dedicated an athlete she was. This leads our talk to know more about what athletes really feel and encounter. He is a cyclist, MS candidate in exercise physiology, and founder of Develo Coaching, Lucas Wall. I initially ask Lucas how he gets to meet his athletes and start their coaching journey. He mentions various approaches which actually work for him. To add, he is also the coach of our previous guest, Alexey Vermeulen (episode165), and he stresses the different beneficial scenarios they both gained. If you're new to working with a coach, Lucas has a lot of things to share that involve different approaches he does to help athletes generate high performance, prepare for pre-season, and choose the appropriate fuel. He also shares his thoughts on why fuel is a limiter, the benefits of practicing fat burning for fuel, and why he encourages his athletes to have plan B for a lot of scenarios. As mentioned above, Justin has been doing a lot of different things. So I come up to think and ask him how did he do what he's been doing and what pushed him to go through these. From there, he tells me the root of developing his habit and how his life during his younger years has contributed to his present life and career.
