BONUS: Tales of The Empire Trailer breakdown

Star Wars: Tales of The Empire is a week away! We're so excited for this follow up to Tales of the Jedi. So we decided we needed ANOTHER trailer breakdown! So we broke the trailer down, frame by frame, to find every reference, Easter egg, or sneaky recut that we could.
We also talk about hopes for the series, how it might tie in to Ahsoka, Mandalorian and Grogu, and everything else a-brewin' in Dave Filoni's branch of the galaxy.
    Enjoy!

WonderCon Recap feat. The Bitches of Dathomir!

WonderCon Recap feat. The Bitches of Dathomir!

Wondercon is one of our favorite cons, it's far less daunting than SDCC but still packs a punch.
This years Wondercon took place on a rainy Easter weekend, and it had some interesting affects on our usual con experience. But that didn't stop us from seeing great panels like Her Universe with Ashley Eckstein, Star Trek Discoveries season 5 premiere, or The War of Rohirrim panel!
Joining us this episode are Reychel and Frankie, from The Bitches of Dathomir, a Star Wars podcast that focuses on print media! You should give them a listen, especially if you're into The High Republic.

    BONUS: The Acolyte Trailer Breakdown!

At 8am on March 19th, 2024, Lucasfilm dropped the trailer for their newest Star Wars show, The Acolyte. It featured intense fight scenes, a whole lot of lightsabers, and a new threat we haven't yet seen!
This whole show takes place a hundred years before Anakin told Sebulba he was going to be bugsquat (sleemo), and that means it's during The High Republic!
What is The High Republic? What do all this quickly flashing scenes mean? What kind of alien is that again? All these questions and more are answered in this bonus episode of Sneaky Geek!

Star Wars: The High Republic, is it worth it?

Star Wars: The High Republic, is it worth it?

This week we are honored to have former Wookiepedia Bureaucrat, writer, and Legends afficionado John Hazlett on the podcast!
Lucasfilm is a few years into its multi-media storytelling initiative, "The High Republic." Since it's going strong, we wanted to ask John if he had seen any of these stories before and whether this era in Star Wars overwrites any of the old canon. He had some fascinating insights, comparisons, and drops a few knowledge bombs on us.
The High Republic takes place between 500BBY and 100BBY (that's Before the Battle of Yavin), which means it exists well outside the Skywalker saga, but well INSIDE the lifetime of Yoda, Yaddle, and a few other notable Jedi, if you're interested in more High Republic content, be sure to check out our new podcast, The Starlight Archive!

Fellas... You done good

Very fun, informative and overall enjoyable podcast with a center in pop culture, comics, movies, television shows and any other nerd-centric culture type things. Give it a listen and if you don’t like it, give it another listen because you’re wrong and we all know it.

Edit: Can I still has buttons?

Better Nate Than Lever

Before this show was created, I never listened to podcasts. My audio media outlets largely consisted of re-listening to the same 5 songs on the radio and to my study materials to help get me through medical school. When I first learned that my old friends had started a podcast, I initially started listening out of support and honestly didn't expect very much.

But after the first episode, I was hooked. These guys were openly delving into topics that I love, but also into genres that I was too overwhelmed to invest any time into, either from the vast amount of material, my limited time for personal interest, or from my preconceived notions about their respective fanbases. Yet what has truly kept me as an avid fan has not only been the material, but the hosts themselves.

Bryce and Brian are absolutely phenomenal. They are approachable to fans at all levels of knowledge and interest. They are engaging and make anything they talk about immediately entertaining. They combine nostalgia with new perspectives that keep me as a listener coming back time and again. They feature equally talented guests, and their interviews feel like you're sitting at a table with your best friends have a fun conversation.

I have to admit my bias in discussing this podcast because both Bryce and Brian are old friends of mine. Unfortunately, my life has changed tremendously over the last decade, taking me to college and medical school, which effectively meant leaving old friendships at the wayside while I focused on my career. This podcast came to fruition at the perfect time in my life when I desperately needed a semblance of escapism, and Sneaky Geek has successfully transported me from my daily, stressful routine to a new and exciting state of nerd nirvana.

Even more than appreciating the geeky topics, this show has helped me catch up on the lives of some of my favorite people and made me feel like time hasn't passed a day since I saw them last. I wish them them best of luck on this podcast and all their endeavors. There isn't any doubt that they will not succeed. They put on one hell of a show, and I'm excited to see where this project takes them.

P.S. I'm sorry it took me so long to write this review, but now I think we can all celebrate... with another new episode! #ErikSucks

Jared Francom ,

SneakyGeek snuck into my heart.

In an effort to show support of my bakersfield friends, and to show up Mr. Eric I am hereby writing a review and saying that I have always been a nerd, a geek, of many genres and sorts. However the comic book content I am completely new to, and has been very interesting. Keep up the baller work my guys!
