Not just for vintage players
This cast is amazing. While everything is explored with a Vintage lens, it has incredible value for any magic player.
The analysis of play patterns, especially in the Scenarios episodes, has helped me in the format I play (legacy). The thought experiments regarding lines of play translates well across formats.
While I’ve said above that the cast is good for all players, it really opened my eyes to the world of Vintage magic. Playing vintage online and organizing proxy kitchen table events has been a blast. The vintage format accentuates the need to define your role in each matchup and has made me a much better player overall.
A pure joy
This is my favorite podcast by far. The data driven approach is great, the intricate and well thought out meta game and in-game discussions are great. The audio quality is superb, Kevin knows how to get up on that mic. No matter what I have in my podcast que, this goes the the top when released. I just wish it came out more often. Also responsible for me getting into vintage on mtgo.
