So Pretentious... a podcast

Love Vivian and Helder’s rapport. It’s a delight to be invited into their friendship and conversations, that range from the sociopolitical to pop culture to the deeply personal and everything in between. Most importantly, it’s clear they’re caring people who are concerned with adding value to their listeners’ day. Whether it’s opening up their own past experiences, current obsessions, or inviting experts onto the show to discuss where we all are on a macro level, Vivian and Helder are real, really kind, and really fun.

There can never be enough Werner Herzog impersonations, Amy Sedaris guest appearances and certainly we will cheer on The Child putting anything and everything in his mouth. We only have Disney Plus free for a year so I’ve been spending my quarantine watching and rewatching all the Star Wars Clone Wars episodes and The Mandalorian. Helder and Ed have given me an outlet for the ridiculous amount of Star Wars story line that I’ve consumed and otherwise have no one else to share with. Thanks guys! This is the way.

I’m a big fan of true crime and documentary podcasts, but let’s be honest, sometimes I need a palate cleanser. Enter Helder and Vivian! I listened to the World Mental Health Day episode first and it was like having a calm, gentle chat with a friend about how life is going. I can’t wait to listen to the other episodes and know this show is what I’ll be putting on when I need something wholesome, fun and relaxing in the background.
