Episode 52 - Interview to Claire Mahoney - Detail Magazine (English)

Episode 52. First episode of Season 2 dedicated to a brand new initiative, the paper magazine Detail edited by Claire Mahoney. Claire tells more about Detail Mag, her view of the Mod Scene with regards to pandemic and her MOD desert island songs. Tunes are "The Sidewinder" by Lee Morgan and "Hung up" by Paul Weller. ** Puntata 52. Primo episodio della stagione 2 dedicato a un nuovo progetto editoriale "Detail" un mod magazine cartaceo e diretto da Claire Mahoney che ci racconta meglio dell'iniziativa, dice la sua sugli impatti del Covid-19 sulla scena Mod e ovviamente ci indica i suoi dischi da portare su un'isola deserta. Episode 51 - Where I started from - Intervista con Francesco Ficco (Italian)

Episode 51. A special episode, an interview with the man who introduced me into the Mod thing, Francesco Ficco, a rock musician since the early Eighties with his first mod band, The Lager and then with The Kartoons. Francesco and I remind that season with The Lager and then F. talks about his relationship with Modism today and tell us his 3 desert island songs. In this episode you can listen to a very rare demo by The Lager "Today now!" never released as record and "What does it take" by The Kartoons. ** Puntata 51. Una puntata davvero speciale, una mini iintervista con Francesco Ficco, colui che mi introdusse ai mods nel lontano 1982. F. è un grande musicista e ha suonato sin dai primi anni '80 prima nei Lager, una band mod molto famosa nel circuito mod italiano e nella scena neopsichedelica e garage, e poi successivamente nei Kartoons. Insieme si ricorda quella prima stagione dei Lager e poi F. ci dice cosa il modism rappresenta per lui oggi. Come al solito vengono segnalati 3 bellissimi dischi da portare su un'isola deserta. Si ascolta poi una grande rarità dei Lager, mai pubblicata su un disco, "Today now" e un brano dei Kartoons "What does it take".

Episode 50 - Remembering The Chords - Interview with Ray Butler (English)

Episode 50. Solo Modrunner presents the editorial project "Remembering the Chords" a book compiled by Ray Butler and dedicated to one of most seminal band of Mod '79 revival. Ray tells why he has written the book, how to order it and also an unknown funny story about the band. You can listen to also "Turn away again" and "Maybe Tomorrow" ** Puntata 50. Solo Modrunner intervista Ray Butler, curatore dell'unico libro sulla storia dei Chords, una delle più importanti bande del revival del Mod '79. Ray racconta del libro "Remembering the Chords", come acquistarlo e ricorda anche una situazione carina accaduta a lui come rookie dei Chords. Una intervista esclusiva con il compositore, musicista e cantante londinese PM Warson. PM ci parla della sua carriera musicale, del suo attuale lavoro di preparazione del primo album che sarà pubblicato nella seconda metà del 2020, del suo rapporto con la cultura MOD e come sempre i suoi dischi mod preferiti. Episode 48 - Fabrizio Carrieri, Un Modernista (Italian)

Episode 48. Episode dedicated to an Italian bluesman, but truly a modernist, Fabrizio Carrieri. Fabrizio tells how he was influenced by Quadrophenia movie and then his first musical experiences during Mod revival and neo-psychedelic scene. Fabrizio talks how Modernism is so important for him, his new musical projects including the management of Tardam Records label and finally he introduces his track R&B jazz "Chromatic Jump" played with Possum Belly Overalls band ** Puntata 48. Un'intera puntata dedicata a un musicista blues italiano, Fabrizio Carrieri, che ha fatto del Modernismo la sua scelta di vita sin dal 1979. Fabrizio racconta la scoperta dei mods con il film Quadrophenia, i suoi primi progetti musicali e quelli attuali compresa la creazione e la gestione di una etichetta discografica, la Tardam Records.
