A podcast created for Asian American women on leadership and culture. I’ve wanted to carve out a space for Asian American women to explore and validate living in both Eastern and Western worlds. Each week we will celebrate our heritage and highlight our history as we explore our Asian American journeys, parts that we are proud of and those of pain.

This podcast is for you if...

I’m a black American male who has also begun a journey of exploration, confrontation, and reconciliation in regards to my ethnic culture and identity in America. With that said, Viv’s story, and presumably all those she will interview seems to hold promise that I will be encouraged, challenged, and inspired by the stories shared. Just after listing to the intro, I was left feeling understood and encouraged because there are definitely aspects of our great country that I need to learn to navigate differently, and then share with others in order to empower them to navigate differently, whether they are a ethnic minority’s or majority.

So listen and learn! I sure will.

Viv, you and your team are excellent! Olympians even!

😉

Press on, because our somedays are definitely here!

Finally!

I’m so thankful to have discovered this podcast. I can identify with some of the women’s journeys. I moved to Hawaii when I was 12. I grew up in a community that was predominantly white. I wanted to fit in and it wasn’t until I was in college that I was proud of my bi-cultural experience. Vivian, keep doing this. I plan to listen to all of these stories and I also plan to write my story.

Rich and insightful

I am not an Asian American, but have been so encouraged by Vivian’s writing and wanted to grow in my understanding of cultural experiences different to mine. “Someday is Now” podcast has been such a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the experience and rich history of Asian Americans and gives great insight into how I can better love my friends and neighbors of all backgrounds. And, though we all have unique experiences, in listening to the stories shared, I am also struck by our shared desire to be seen and known with a welcomed seat at the table. Grateful for this bridge building resource!
