Something More Human

As a remote worker in a (relatively) new city post-pandemic, this podcast simultaneously feels like a cozy hangout with friends AND a much-needed wake up call. I find the difference in perspective between Sam and Elliot super helpful - a lot of the time I see myself more in Elliot’s outlook, but Sam’s alternative thought process helps me bridge the gap with friends and family who think differently from me. Connection is more important now than ever, and this podcast has made me feel more confident seeking it out in my community.

Looking at negative reviews for this thoughtful, wonderfully human podcast feels like seeing random jerks on a couch criticizing the participants on a cooking show. – No one is “perfect”, but this show gives me hope that there are still plenty of people giving their all to add care & positive intention to make the world a more loving place. There’s loads to learn and admire about Sam & Elliot’s willingness to work on understanding something new together, and even disagree sometimes and then do the uncomfortable work of communicating through it together.

Loved the episode on rejection therapy. Hosts have good chemistry and the show has a lot of practical advice

I am loving the much needed connection that Sam & Elliot bring to this world. Encouraging & nurturing the simpleness of human connection is so very important in this world, especially today. Their thoughtfulness and genuine kindness is needed. Thank you.
