    Finding Enoughness by Allowing Life to Unfold~ Mini Episode

    In this late-night talk with Joy, I share with you my struggles with feeling like my life had to unfold in a certain way to feel good enough and sufficient. That certain marks of success to distinguish you from feeling like a 's****y human' vs. an 'I've-got-my-sh!t-together human' are needed. While working through my preconceived bias of perfection, success, life, and relationships, I learned that there is so much beauty in allowing life to unfold beautifully and not needing to control every single outcome to feel fulfilled but sitting with the ebbs and flows of life. It's not easy, I know but it's doable-allowing myself to accept life and, consequently, myself as I am. This journey has allowed me to take the pressure of what it "should" be to "it gets to be what it is right now, and that's okay." I hope you too can be encouraged to find satisfaction in what your life looks like right now. And maybe, maybe, this creates some space for the expansion you are desperately looking for.     Digital Nomad Lifestyle after 50 with Ali C.

    What does being a digital nomad look like? What does the life of a 51-year-old black woman look like after leaving corporate America for a life of full-time travel? Well, on this episode, my friend Ali @wheretonext_ali and I share our experiences of slow solo traveling worldwide. We share our whys, hows, where, and what this life looks like. We talked about how we became digital nomads. What the aha moment was and the brave steps we've taken to create a life outside the US.  "Being a Nomad gives a whole new meaning to you doing what you want to do" ~Ali. One of my life mottos is living life by design. Choosing to create a life of freedom, pleasure, intention, and adventure. Truly taking back the power and choosing to live authentically no matter what.     When You Don’t Say No Your Body Will Say It for You with Katerina Barron

    Most people aren't aware there is a link between their trauma and some symptoms and illnesses they experience. In this episode, I am joined by Katerina Barron, a trauma-informed coach that loves holding space for messy humans. We covered the intersection between childhood trauma and chronic illness. We shared stories about our bumpy road to advocating for our health, returning to our bodies, and healing from the inside out. Katerina has an authentic way of sharing her experience while dropping tips on navigating life as you move through uncovering different aspects of your chronic illness and personal trauma. This is one of those conversations that gets your mind thinking about how important it is to advocate for your health when you don't get the answers you need or want.     Your Life doesn't Have to Be a Showcase- Mini Episode

    Welcome to the very first midnight musing. What is this, you ask? It's a mini-episode recorded sometime in the wee hours of the night, where I share some thoughts weighing on my mind and heart. In the age of social media, it can feel like you are missing out if you aren't monetizing your whole life. We are living in the era of mass content creation. And while all this is amazing (yay, digital age), there's a certain pressure or FOMO when you don't share your whole life on the web. As an online business provider, I have mixed feelings about this entire thing. But I have observed that none of us have to monetize every single part of our lives. So take this as your permission slip not to feel guilty for refusing to live your life on the proverbial 'big screen.' Like someone famous once said, "you don't have to if you don't want to." Some things can be kept private and sacred. Don't let social media make you feel like we must see everything you do every second of the day. You get to choose what to share in your life and business. You get to have power and control over what is sacred space and what is public information. Also, just because we are all now talking about our traumas (which I am all here for, by the way) doesn't mean you have to feel the pressure to overshare with the world to prove that what you went through was traumatic and challenging. We see you and love you with the little or much you share. I do understand that we all have different ways of processing, so don't feel ashamed of honoring your process. Love you!     My friend Jay, the spiritual nomad and self-proclaimed ambassador of BlackTravel, joined me for this deep conversation about happiness, finding your unique path, and conscious travel.     Why SoulKitchen?

    What is it? Why is it named SoulKitchen? As any good and thorough Virgo would do, I am giving you the origin story of SoulKitchen. So many people have asked me if it has anything to do with food, and sadly at this time, not really, but who knows what the future holds for us? In this first episode, I share with you how this podcast was born in the middle of the ocean Fall of 2018 onboard a naval ship.
