    EP: 4 Sunsetting My 20s (Ft Lauren Coccaro)

    SUNSETTING MY 20s Every next level of your life will demand a different version of you. If you want to be good, you really don't have a lot of choices because it takes what it takes. You have to do what you have to do to be successful "You know who's gonna give you everything? Yourself." YOU DON'T GET TO GREATNESS BY BEING COMFORTABLE The deepest level of worship is praising God through the pain, thanking God through the trials, trusting Him when we're tempted to lose hope, and loving Him, even when He seems distant. At my lowest, God is my hope. At my darkest, God is my light At my weakest, God is my strength. At my saddest, God is my comforter. God trusts me with this journey. He knows I can handle it. Setting boundariesRelationship with my momI used to tell my mom and dad EVERYTHING.But that back fired and left my family and friends with their own opinions about my partnersKeep people out of your relationshipSomeone’s response to your boundary is not your responsibilityStand firm on your boundariesIt’s self care. It’s self love.Those who love you will respect it. That’s not to say the beginning won’t be muddy. It’s going to suck a little but eventually the ones who matter will understand and won’t leave because of it.MY healing journeyStarted and ended the year with people who were complete oppositesPoker face with work still happening, life still life-ing and dealing with my personal life. Literally one day at a timeFinding grace and peace in the healing processAllowing myself to feel every feeling to truly healBought a journal just to write out my thoughts as my release to process what I was feelingUnderstanding why it happened and also understanding sometimes people think they are healed but truly deep down there are things they haven’t fully come to terms with which shows in their actionsHurt people hurt peopleWe’re all finding ourselves and navigating as best as we canOpening KIDSTRONGTransitioning from OTF and going into a new business with a new role at the same timeHaving melt downs and break downsMy dad telling me “as a business owner, every day is not going to be a good day. That’s why we appreciate the good days more when we have the trying days”Digging deep to find the new version of myself to elevateTrusting God with this process and what he’s put on my plateWe were supposed open on one date, the parts to the equipment were out of stock on Amazon. All out of our control but our date got moved back another two weeks.All I could do was cry and started to question God.Remaining grateful through it allHaving a support system is everything!!!!!!CONNECT WITH ME: @bodyyouceefit

On this episode were talking all things personal development starting with the receipts...the books I've read so far and plan to read followed by the juice! BOOKS I HAVE READ: The purpose driven life the four agreements Think and grow rich The 10x rule The 7 strategies for wealth and happiness by Jim Rohn The 5 major pieces to the life puzzle by Jim Rohn Twelve pillars Girl wash your face How to win friends and influence people Becoming by Michelle Obama Meditation made easy Love em or lose em Relationship goals by Pastor Michael Todd Crazy faith by Pastor Michael Todd Feeding the soul The seasons of life Good to great The miracle morning Ina mays guide to Child birth Reinventing yourself UPCOMING: Womb wisdom Emotional intelligence As a man thinketh Spirit babies Take the leap TALKING POINTS: -devote 10 pages a day or 1-2 chapters a day -for things to change you have to change -change begins with your mindset -develop your mind -feed your mind -be aware of what you consume -audio books to turn your car into a mobile library or listen in the shower and while you get ready for work or any event or while you workout or while you got for a run -does reading it make it sink in more for you? -talk to someone about what your reading. Almost like a book report or just to make sure your digesting what you’re reading tell someone about what you read -implement into your life -keep a journal or notes on your phone of what you read so you can apply it to your everyday life -start a book club -honestly….if it’s a fictional book I DON'T WANT IT LOL that’s just where I’m at in life right now. I want to focus on making myself better. Working on my traumas. Working on things that trigger me so I don’t carry that into current and new friendships and relationships and family bonds and professional/career bonds -focusing on fitness is mental. It starts in the mind. Temptation is in the mind. Discipline is in the mind first. -YOU HAVE TO FEED YOUR MIND -before I got into personal development books I was reckless. Said what I wanted, when I wanted. No filter. Arguments with everyone. Just crazy and didn’t really care about what that was doing to people around me. -once I started to implement what I was reading my relationships changed -my environment changed -and my circumstances changed. I of course began to separate myself from things and people that didn’t serve me and didn’t contribute to where I was going -and my surroundings started to elevate. Offer territory started to come to me. How I saw life and the world changed. My perspective changed. -I started to focus on positive things more instead of the negative. -WHO YOU HAVE AROUND YOU IS IMPORTANT -even now IM STILL LEARNING!!! -learning to take my ego out of things -learning to let old patterns DIE by responding differently -communicate more. Speak up more and effectively and intentionally While expressing how things make me feel but also providing a solution or change in how the situation can be made better -controlling my own thoughts which control my feeling and emotions.
