Abby is a natural host and a breath of fresh air on a subject near and dear to many

Full disclosure: I am a guest on an episode of Abby’s podcast, but I’ve been listening to all the episodes and just floored at the depth of each episode. Abby asks the hard questions when necessary (cc: Ms. Boogaard’s episode when freelancing and getting paid money for said freelancing comes up) but delights in painting the picture of an array of writing from avenues. She’s a curious host with strong insight and self-awareness that sings through every episode. A great break from the saturated investigative journalism podcasts cropping up as of late and a fresher, brighter interview podcast.

Authentic and Insightful

What a great podcast for writers and non-writers alike. Abby and her guests are passionate about what they do and give listeners a wealth of knowledge about writing and what it takes to get to where they are in their careers. I love the conversational feel and authenticity of the show. I can’t wait to keep listening!

Inspiring and Insightful

I would not consider myself a writer, but I can certainly appreciate those that are! Sounds About Write has already taught me so much. Abby asks insightful questions of each guest and I feel like I’m right there having the conversation with them. I think writers and so many others (like myself) will find the podcast helpful and also inspiring. It’s wonderful to learn how each guest is pursuing their passion in a myriad of ways.
