Customer Reviews
Best AU podcast out there!!
Doug does an excellent job recapping all the events of each game that AU plays as well as the major events of the team. While I may not always agree with his philosophies of the team, there is no one that covers the team more consistently or professionally as Doug.
Highly recommended for any AU fans, new or old!!
Self-Righteous Drivel
Not sure when Doug convinced himself that he was God’s gift to soccer and reporting, but he’s become an insufferable, self-righteous, tool over the past couple of years. Snark over misspelled questions posed by tweet (seriously?) and listeners not reading his articles (News Flash: not everyone is/can be a subscriber, Dougie), and constant attempts to proclaim himself the Omniscient Oracle of Soccer when his knowledge of the sport is no better than that of anyone else who played high school soccer is tedious, at best. Doug started as an Atlanta United enthusiast with admittedly limited mastery of the sport, but since then he has apparently bought into — literally— his own press on himself and has devolved into a self-important boor who demeans his listeners, brags of illusory prowess, who thinks professionalism includes gulping coffee into a microphone and hurling schoolyard taunts throughout a 10 minute podcast after every game. Hard pass. Get over yourself, Doug.
