Chase Purpose and Passion, the Money Will Come
After being fired from his job, Lloyd Hopkins recalls receiving powerful advice from his brother, "You lost your job, now find your life." In this episode of Spared Change, Lloyd talks about finding his true north after losing his job and evolving beyond the materialistic side of success. He believes if we chase purpose and passion, the money will come. We also discuss making an impact in our communities.
About Lloyd Lloyd Hopkins is the Executive Director and Founder of Million Dollar Teacher Project. He is an ASU graduate with a B.S. in Nonprofit Leadership in Management. As a philanthropist he is a part of the black men’s giving circle, REAP, in which he chaired for 2 years. He has led education equity work for the black community by leading task forces through Achieve60AZ and the Arizona Department of Education. For his efforts he was a finalist for the Phoenix Center of the Arts Mayor’s arts Awards and honored by the East Valley NAACP with the Malala Yousafzai Equity in Education Award in 2019. He most recently was awarded the MLK Living the Dream Award by the MLK Celebration Commission in 2022.

Starting a business after an unexpected diagnosis
Diana Dibble received a call that she had two brain tumors. Some people might shut down after receiving a diagnosis like this, but for Diana, it was the catalyst that led her to start her business. She came out of surgery saying "Something good has to come of this." During this life change, she realized that people don't plan for the "what if's" of life. Now, she helps others plan for the "what if's" of their lives and businesses.

Diana Dibble is the CEO of Tripod Coaching & Consulting LLC, which opened in 2022 to provide business operations coaching and consulting services, and support businesses with Planning for the “What If” TM. She is also the President/Co-Founder of Design To Delivery Inc, an award-winning government contracting firm founded in 2001. Diana is a brain tumor survivor. She shares her story to bring awareness, and to fundraise for various associations and clinical trials. She regularly speaks on business topics, and is a top 3 finalist for the 2022 NAWBO Woman Business Owner of the Year award.

About U. Nkechi Uloaku Nkechi Nwachukwu is an attorney, an entrepreneur, a wife, …and a hardworking free spirit. In 2017, after decades of working as an employee, she resigned her full-time position to homeschool her 3 children. When she re-entered the workforce, she did so as an entrepreneur and launched her own law practice. Her law firm is a NYS certified MWBE with practice areas in Government Contracts; Land Use & Zoning; Estate Planning; and Homeschool Law. Nkechi and her husband David have been married for 19 years …and counting! Together they are raising three active children, ages 14, 13, and 10.

Keep Going Despite the Obstacles
Keep going despite the obstacles, there is something great on the other side. Brenda Harris' Spared Change moment happened January 2022, when she was told by her CPA that she needed to do something drastic. She reminds us that there are obstacles in business and life in general.
About Brenda: Business owner for 11 years, mother of 3 and an additional 4 bonus kids, and 7 grandkids. She's an award winning business owner who have conquered many obstacles. Brenda considers her most rewarding accomplishment is her three daughters and their success. She does what she do for them, and is proud of the legacy she is leaving.
