We talk about what "SISU" means, the 13+ counties it serves in Georgia and how they're one of the only facilities/programs/schools providing resources for children and parents in the U.S. Jamie tells us her own story of being a mother of 5, losing a child and how that paved the way to her role today. Every single day lives are changed at this school, incredible stories are happening - whether it's a child with special needs conquering a milestone previously believed to be improbable or a typically developing child using adaptive thinking to communicate with a nonverbal autistic child. THIS WEEK we talk to Demario Pressley - former NFL star of the New Orleans Saints (a part of the Super Bowl XLIV-winning team) and his lovely wife Kristle Pressley about their amazing brand new business GEAUX BIKES (pronounced "GO BIKES") and how they have created a remarkably convenient and affordable way for people to be more active together as a family and community. We talk about Demario's humble beginnings, his thoughts on why he has an entrepreneurial drive, what it was like to be in the NFL, his advice to young athletes AND how they came up with the BIKE SHARE/BIKE RENTAL concept.
