These are not opposites. The only way you can deny yourself the way Christ calls us to is to accept yourself the way he sees you. When you value yourself you can get over yourself without defeat. -
Value Yourself
Those who value themselves the least live the most selfishly. Believe that you are valuable because God values you! When you know your value you don't need to chase the affirmation of the world. A foundational level of maturity is to value yourself.

I love this podcast! I am a long-time listener and what I love about it is that 1. Pastor Ryan reads the BIBLE and isn’t afraid of hard topics or unclear passages. 2. He believes the Bible. 3. The stories he tells are so relevant to us as humans who need love, love from others and from God. 4. Pastor Ryan is very down to earth and humble while presenting the Almighty, loving Father on this podcast. I could go on, but just take a listen and you will see what I mean!
