    Alex Palou Wins Grand Prix of Portland

    He’s back! Honorary “Sixth Freak” Alex Palou drops by the Lucas Oil Studio, fresh off his sixth win of the INDYCAR season at Portland. The reigning champ shares how he was able to best Indianapolis 500 winner Felix Rosenqvist and the rest of the field in typical dominating fashion while battling the flu! While a little illness was no match for the modern day G.O.A.T, he does divulge what the most difficult pain to persevere through in a race car was.     Hocevar Calls Out NASCAR, INDYCAR Unveils Future

    Motorsports off week? Not for the Freaks! INDYCAR dropped a major bombshell in the form of a brand-new badass racing machine, set to debut in 2028. Crash Gladys takes listeners to school on the nuts-and-bolts changes for the purpose built IR-28 chassis and what it could mean for America’s beloved open wheel racing series, but does any of it matter if the competition side suffers? NASCAR sang a similar tune with the introduction of the now heavily criticized “Next Gen” car in 2022. Carson Hocevar took to social this week and coincidentally compared what the sport is like now to what it was 20 years ago. Is he onto something, or just trying to make headlines at this point? After Kyle Larson made a comment about NASCAR Cup races being too long, it caused a snowball effect throughout the garage on the potential issue. The Freaks take their turn debating the concerns of the reigning champ, breaking out some staggering numbers as to why this is and how it could be fixed.     NHRA Pro Stock legend Greg Anderson caught up with Kenny, following his second win of 2026 in the NorthWest Nationals. At 65 years old, the winningest driver in Pro Stock history is still finding ways to stay competitive, making it impossible for him to hang it up. He shares how he held off fellow Greg (Stanfield), and if it was any easier going up against another veteran of the sport he’s been racing for decades. The seasoned six-time champion driving for KB TITAN Racing also details the importance of remaining consistent and confident when chasing titles.
