Thanks to a strong support system, and under the supervision from a Dietician, Katie is living a fulfilling life and for the first time ever is ready to share  her story publicly. We talk about how education is the focal point upon which the stigmas can be broken surrounding eating disorders. Katie even gives some of her own tips on what helped her through her own battles. This is a good one.

She attempts to find comfort with a man that will protect her, however the man sworn to protect her is not as kind as he seems. Smitha tells her story of escaping a controlling, abusive and dangerous relationship. Listen as she tells of how she comes to America, hoping for a better life, only to be followed by the man who abused her. This is a story of love, sacrifice, control and endurance. How this woman has so much mental fortitude or how she was able to make it through these trials, I have no idea. What I do know, is she is an inspiration to little girls across the world and all of those who hope for a better life. You have the strength within you to do anything you want. The first step is always the hardest, but you can do it.
