Hey y'all, Shay and Haley here. We want this podcast to be full of fun and honest conversations about how to live life well in light of being Christ followers. We are certainly not experts, but we desire to invite you in to our real-time, real-life, authentic conversations that dive into topics where we are reminded we aren't alone. We pray Spiritual Side-note offers hope, truth and thought provocation, and, hopefully, some laughter. There's a Great God with a Great Love welcoming us to participate in His remarkable Story. Episode 66 - A Heart of Repentance
This week we discussed having a heart of repentance. We want to remain humble before God and allow Him to continue to clear out things in our lives that do not align with His character or will for us. When we let Him do that, we must be repentant of those areas and submit to Him again.

After an extra week off with Thanksgiving, this week we jumped back into a conversation around the topic of thankfulness. It is so important for our hearts to remain thankful and full of gratitude as we seek to live for God. We have to practice the discipline of gratitude to help keep right perspective.

This week we jumped into Matthew 18 to discuss what it means to have childlike faith as we grow older. This is a tough tension to maintain as we search independence in this world, but must maintain dependence on God.

Episode 61 - Risk
In this episode we discuss the importance of risk in our lives. Too often we get caught up in being safe rather than putting our trust in Jesus. God demonstrated what it looks like to risk by loving humanity even though so many would choose to not love Him back. What are we supposed to risk in our lives?

Absolutely amazing podcasts that helped me a lot with my spiritual journey and the people behind it are just sent from God to spread his word. They are amazing hosts that help put things that can be hard to understand into perspective and really helps create a bridge between the word of God and our everyday life. Shay and Haley are amazing people with hearts of gold, it’s amazing to see how many lives God has been able to touch through them. Thank you guys for the podcast!! Keep up the good work!
What an encouraging podcast!
Shay and Haley are excellent communicators, leading with humility and love for others and most importantly each other. What a joy to listen to a husband and wife pursuing God together, encouraging each other, and encouraging listeners at the same time!
Easy + wholesome listening
I really enjoyed listening to the contentment episode as I did some evening tidying. There was something wholesome about listening to Shay and Haley talk through the topic. It was almost like sitting in a room with friends having good conversation. Definitely will be continuing to listen to future episodes to come!
