#22 - Coke, New Coke, and Your Fear of Being Boring

    * Episode’s a day late (thought Wednesday was Tuesday) * Repetition is key in business (shocker) * The Coca-Cola branding example (again) * Remember Clear Coke? Crystal Pepsi? Why tho * New Coke: nobody asked for it * Cherry Coke existed at soda fountains forever * Yoga teachers think they need constant novelty * Your nervous system likes predictability actually * Novelty ≠ how people learn at depth * “This product is refreshing when you’re thirsty” * Yoga teachers say things ONCE and move on * Syllabus details don’t move people to sign up * Did you research your YTT syllabus? No you didn’t * The public speaking fear nobody addresses * You need to see ads for MONTHS before buying * Remember TV commercials during breaks? Yeah * Same sequence = most popular yoga style (there’s a reason) * You’re changing classes to entertain yourself * Stop using yoga buzzwords to explain yoga * “Could you explain it without saying ‘embodied’?” * Fear of being annoying = about YOU not THEM * D2R is on round 16 (still not bored) * Said the same thing for years in different words * The mindset under the need for novelty * Insecurity masquerading as “keeping it fresh” * Big announcement coming (mindset + philosophy thing) LINKS & SUCH: Check out the D2R BIZ course, doors open again for enrollment in just a couple of weeks. #20 - Rethinking The 'New Year, New You' Thing

    * Episode 20! (Thank you for being here) * “New Year, Same Me” because inherent worth isn’t negotiable * Not doing New Year’s resolutions (they’re doomed) * 30 days/30 classes won’t fill the worth gap * Lack-based goals vs. wholeness-based goals * D2R Biz planning session incoming (mindset work alert) * You keep ending up in Chicago but want Boston * Maybe you need a roadmap? Just saying * “Do I actually have the tools to get there?” * SI joint pain, injury prevention, studio vs. non-studio teaching * Outsourcing isn’t cheating, it’s strategic * D2R doors open (coolest people alert) * Will it open again in 2026? Who knows, schedule’s packed * Business course starting March (couple months to grab a spot) * Alex’s soul thrives on your wins (not gatekeeping anything) * Pink post comment section is GOLD (read it) * “Do you know anyone in Stockholm who took D2R?” * The accessible classes thing again (you know who you are) * 2026 mystery projects teased * Onwards and upwards, gratitude, all that good stuff LINKS & SUCH: Check out the courses mentioned during this episode. D2R IS open for enrollment now and D2R BIZ will open in just a couple of weeks. Deconstruct to Reconstruct (D2R) - Anatomy Course - Click here to enroll now. Enrollment closes January 8. #19 - The Gary Problem (And Why He's Actually the Majority)

    * I’m not ghosting you just because it’s the holidays * Accessibility is trendy but not much has actually changed * Gary dying in your Sunday restorative? He’s the majority, not the exception * Your classes are full of the exception to the rule * It’s easy to think things are accessible because everyone in the room seems to be able to do what you’re offering…until you realize who isn’t in the room * Holiday homework: ask non-yoga people why they don’t go (then shut up and listen) * “I’m not flexible enough” might be...accurate * Chair yoga isn’t accessibility, it’s just shapes on chairs * Student cried: “First class I could do everything” (Alex also cried) * You can make them fully included without them even knowing * People are literally too scared to take your class D2R opens in days, might not open again for a year+ LINKS & SUCH: Check out the courses mentioned during this episode. Both will be opening for enrollment very soon, add your name to the waitlist to be the first to know when the doors open and to save 💵.
