    Hard to Smart

    You know you’ve got into Med school because you’re smart and hardworking, but you get to first-year and suddenly it’s like you’ve never properly studied a word in your life before.    The doctors are too fast, there’s too many words you don’t even know how to pronounce, and the information load you receive on the daily is insane. On top of that, your exams are only a couple weeks away, and you haven’t gotten through all the subjects yet. It seems like everything is set against you.   You’ve probably seen the phrase ‘Study smart not hard’ thrown around on the internet whenever you look up study tips in your desperate attempts to salvage your grades. It sounds great and all, but how do you actually apply that concept?     A Journey to 1968

    Welcome to SSS-Talks’ first episode. Today Nada, Qussaye and Toka hosted a special guest in the history of the Students’ Scientific Society and IFMSA-Egypt; Dr. Ismail Kharma. Today’s episode is going to discuss how was it to be a medical student back in 60s, and how a group of pioneer students gave birth to the scientific society -in the hardship conditions of the late 60s- that was, is and will be a family to hundreds but thousands of medical students along the years including more than 28 medical school around egypt nowadays starting from Kasr AlAiny medical school.  After all, they will have a little chit-chat with Dr. Ismail to know more about him where they let you all listen to his wise words advising all the medical students around.
