Great coverage that I listen to daily, thanks, Brad and staff. This new dorm decorating trend however is nauseating.
When I was in college, moving into a dorm felt like a neutralizing event. You didn’t know who were the rich kids versus who was scraping by and on scholarship.
Perhaps these parents might think about generously donating the amount they spend on lavish storm rooms (podcast mentioned $20,000!!) to another student that is just getting by and wondering if they’ll be able to afford the four years. Or just cease, helicopter, parenting, let their kids figure it out on their own. Isn’t that the whole point of college??
Forget about decorating skills, but this would give them real life skills!
