    Episode Six - First Episode of 2023!

    GUESS WHO'S BIZZACK!!! The State of the Diaspora crew are proud to publish this, our first podcast episode for 2023. We took a bit of a hiatus to reorganize and retool, and we're better than ever. We'll be launching new episodes on a monthly basis for the rest of 2023. This episode consists of two segments. The first is a group discussion of the Nigerian elections - what happened, and what needs to happen going forward. As you can see, opinions vary widely on both questions, but this group is (in my humble opinion) unmatched in the level of insight they provide and the eloquence with which they make their respective points. After that heavy discussion, we go into our second segment - a discussion of all things Afrobeats, with a focus on and review of Davido's new album. I hope you enjoy it.     Episode Five, and our first one of 2022! "It's been a long time, we shouldn'a kept you..." This one is mammoth-sized, with five segments: - Segment 1: Superbowl predictions. We all said Bengals, Jaggah said Rams. As of now, he's winning.... - Segment 2 - Nora leads us in a discussion of G Funk and the halftime show - Segment 3 - Valentine's - the men are asked, what's your love language? - Segment 4 - Biden Job Review. Chuba leads the prosecution against Sleepy Joe - Segment 5 - Manchin and Inflation. Chig Gy expresses her fond admiration for the the Senator from West Virginia.

    Episode Four - State of the Diaspora

    ANOTHER BANGER!!! Happy Valentine's Day to all the lovers out there. We're coming to you live with a Valentine's Day special episode. Here, we discuss our favorite love songs (and movies) that get us in the, ahem, mood :-). And because we don't wanna leave you hanging, here's a link to our (seven hour and counting) compilation playlist of love songs. Play with caution, and don't come looking for us in nine months' time!! Of course, we also had to hit you with a politics segment. We talk about the impeachment trial, Trump's acquittal, the looming Nikki Haley vs Liz Chaney clash, and those House Managers who saw their star rise over the course of the trial. The consensus is that we all stan for Del. Stacy Plaskett. Enjoy, and stay tuned for more great commentary. Per popular request, we will be posting a follow-up to our crypto segment very soon. We'll be coming to you live soon with brand-new episodes discussing politics, crypto, and - in honor of Valentine's Day - romance. Or, as some call it in Nigeria, "lomance." Enjoy!!
