Raw Food, Grounding, & Heart Health: Dr. Baxter Montgomery's Healing Approach

Chile, before we get into today's episode, I want to take a moment to honor a man whose work changed the way I think about healing: Dr. Baxter Montgomery of  @MontgomeryHeartWellness . He was a cardiologist who believed deeply in the power of plant-based nutrition and simple, natural practices like grounding to reverse and prevent life-threatening illness — and he poured that belief into every patient he saw. His passing is a loss to the wellness community, and I'm so grateful we got to capture this conversation with him. Did you know the earth acts as a large source of electrons, and direct contact with it can help fight toxins in the body? Healthy nutrition isn't just about the food we eat — there are other forms of "ingesting" wellness, and grounding is one of them.  In this episode, Dr. Montgomery walks us through what grounding is, how it supports blood circulation and cardiac output, and why he built his entire practice around the healing power of a plant-based diet. Grab your tea, get comfy, and let's remember him together as we learn: What is earthing or grounding? Materials that decrease the effects of grounding Why people ground — and why you should too Decreasing oxidative stress in your body through the antioxidant effect of grounding How grounding aids the circulation of blood flow The relationship between blood fluidity and cardiac output Does grounding affect your emotions by reducing stress triggers? The benefits of filtering what you let in Why plant foods are considered superior Dr. Montgomery's food classification system — healthiest to least healthy Dr. Montgomery's approach to patients facing terminal illness Why optimal nutrition matters, no matter the diagnosis His approach to patients despite pessimism from the broader medical community His voice, his knowledge, and his heart for healing live on through conversations like this one. Rest well, Dr. Montgomery — thank you for everything you poured into this work.
