NASA's Tiffaney Miller Alexander with Mary Lee
Tiffaney Miller Alexander became the youngest and first woman to be a top 10 finalist for the Boeing Florida Space Coast Operations Engineer of the Year Award. She was NASA’s official Mission Assurance Manager, responsible for the last launch of the Space Shuttle mission.
Tiffaney’s dream of working at NASA all started in the 6th grade. Her inspiration and motivation were her faith in God and her mother, who was not only the first person in her family to earn a college degree but who also showed tremendous strength overcoming cancer.
It was amazing to hear Tiffaney share how she embraces every challenge, every obstacle, every even small opportunity, knowing and believing they are actually incredible life experiences if you allow them to be.

Astronaut Nicole Stott with Lili
My 10-year-old niece Lili interviews astronaut Nicole Stott.
Nicole has seen our planet from a perspective unlike any other. She’s lived and worked more than 100 days in space. She’s completed two missions aboard the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station. She’s seen Earth from about 200 miles away. Imagine how that perspective would change the way you view the world and yourself.
It’s interesting because Nicole’s incredible journey into space first began when she started overcoming her own self-doubt. It was only when she started believing in herself and believing that it was possible, that a whole universe opened up to her.

Great podcast!
Love this podcast! The people highlighted are super inspirational and this is so well done. Highly recommend!
Great podcast for curious kids and adults
This is such a great podcast! The conversations are smart, interesting, and fun. Mary does a good job of introducing us to the scientist and the person behind the title. Cool to hear about each woman’s journey to her career in science. Presented accessibly for an all kids audience, but just as interesting for adults. I learned more than a few new things!
