Finally, A conversation about the grief and shame that step moms go through! Thank you! I’m so glad I found this when I did, it totally resonated with me! I’ve been feeling so torn inside with feeling such grief and sadness, and feeling like such an awful person, with so much guilt hanging over my head because I feel this way. Even my therapist didn’t know how to address this grief. It was refreshing and freeing. Thank you for talking about other real things that we go through and staying above the typical norms revolving around the step world. Thank you for going deeper and thinking outside the box! I look forward to listening to more episodes!

A lot of waiting for the hosts to get to the point. I was hoping that the episodes would be deeper, pulling in experts and hard research when needed. A lot of it is just skimming the surface. The advice is fine, but often pretty shallow. I think the podcast needs to cut down on the chit chat…I don’t care if your house was getting remodeled. Potential here, but episodes need to be tightened up.

This podcast has been a source of peace of mind for me as a new stepmom. It’s nice to hear some real talk about the struggles and double standards you experience as a stepmom, and to hear some “real talk” when you do need to be reminded to stay in your lane. I’ve read tons of books and listened to other podcasts and this one has been the most useful to me thus far! Thanks for all you’re doing!

This is a very insightful podcast into the world of step-parenting! I don’t think you realize what you sign up for when you become a stepparent, and Alyse and Bailey do a great job giving advice professionally, through personal experiences. It’s a must listen if you are a stepparent.
