Steve Sonius

Steve Sonius has been a fixture in Sydney’s underground electronic scene for over three decades. From deep, immersive DJ sets to explorations in ambient sound, his work is rooted in authenticity and experimentation. As co‑founder of the long‑running Bad Dog parties (2000–2022), he helped shape a community around music and inclusivity. Along the way, he’s played everything from Mad Racket, Happenings, and The Phoenix, to Sleaze Ball, Mardi Gras, and Harbour Party, as well as curating intimate Ambient Guerrilla sessions at Casula Powerhouse. Now focused on production, Steve continues to evolve his sound — weaving dub, house, and experimental textures into forward‑thinking electronic music.
