    Some emotional wounds have a bigger impact on life depending on other factors of coping and resilience.
    Trauma doesn’t have to come from a war or abuse, it can come from feelings of isolation, fear and being misunderstood or invalidated as a child.
    Something as simple as being blamed for something you didn’t do, again and again, can leave a trauma wound, if the emotion is never validated.

    What ways trauma shows up you.
    How it has protected you.
    How alcohol creates compounding trauma.
    Why you have a hard time relaxing without alcohol.
    How stress is a coping mechanism.
    Why receiving from other, feeling pride and a sense of accomplishment is uncomfortable.

    Let's explore the word recovery and look at the limiting and fear based terms that are stigmatized when one takes a new approach to life and away from alcohol.
    It's for this reason, not drinking FEELS so scary.
    I found an amazing new way to define life on the other side of alcohol.
    One, where you not only HEAL, but you Ascend!
    If, that is, you want your life to look more like truth than fear.
    You can be addicted to alcohol and no longer be.
    You are not in recovery forever.
    I explore a Hawaiian concept I just learned called; PōHALA.
    This word BLEW MY MIND and really exhmplified what the others die of alcohol actually is, if you choose to examine your beliefs around alcohol.
    If you dive into the heart of self inquiry what's possible when you RECLAIM what was once lost.

Great Insight

I have been listening for about 6 months. If you want to have a better understanding of your relationship with alcohol and maybe just want to learn more about being the best version of you.... Mary is very relatable and shares her message and story with love snd vulnerability. Great tools and perspective. I highly recommend
