"I think there's a reason why we get into careers that we get into. And I'm not just like making a generalization, but I'm sure that there's a lot of fighters out there that had a really hard childhood."
That’s Kimberly Shannon Murphy, she’s Hollywood’s go-to stunt double for premier silver screen actresses. If you’ve seen a movie or a TV show made in the last 20 years, chances are you’ve seen Kimberly without even knowing it.
This story contains child abuse. But that is not what it's about. This is a story of survival, hope and healing.

If you are experiencing sexual assault, you do not have to suffer alone. You can talk to someone for confidential 24/7 support by calling 1-800-656-4673.
And for the 24/7 child abuse hotline, call 1-800-4-A-child, that’s 1-800-422-4453.
If you know someone who is experiencing abuse, or if you suspect abuse, please don’t wait.

"Before you have a kid. I feel like you're sort of going up a roller coaster and you've never been on a roller coaster before and you just like you feel that you're inching towards the top and you just don't know what to expect. And that's kind of like writing a book. I mean, I feel like you shouldn't know what's coming when you enter in a book." - Andrew Lipstein, author of THE VEGAN.

The Twilight Zone of Podcasts, you will LOVE it!

This podcast turns the inside of your skull into a giant immersive IMAX theatre. Storybound is like the Twilight Zone of the podcast scene. Complete with host Jude Brewer playing the role of Rod Serling. The show's concept is brilliant in its simplicity & how it uses the audio form: by pairing some of the greatest stories and writing of our time with a bespoke, custom made soundscape, Jude Brewer IMMERSES you inside the story to a degree you have never felt before. You can see, hear, & FEEL the story in totally new ways. Maybe it's a little bit like what I always imagined wearing the most expensive AR headsets might be like only in this case you are using the most powerful technology in the world which is your own imagination. I swear when I'm listening to this podcast it feels like I am accessing a whole new dimension (Twilight Zone again) of story that exists outside time & space. Jude Brewer is a fantastic host whose enthusiasm & love for the world-class writing featured on his podcast shines through. I love this show & can't wait for the new season to drop so I can have my mind blown in a whole new way. Thank you for giving us the gift of your audio art, Jude! 10/10 Highly recommend

Great listening!

I listen to podcasts while I take walks. I love the variety of these stories and narrators never disappoint.

Please no music with the reader

Please consider getting rid of the music. Listening to stories is not like listening to lyrics, which are built originally with music and beats. Having the music alongside the reader here competes with the stories. It is impossible to listen to both simultaneously, and it is clear that they are not composed together. This podcast is otherwise so cool! I hope that the new season will do something about the music. There are so many reviews that comment on it.
