Episode 12: Theater Costume Design with Jennifer Lippert

Storyweavers was joined in-studio this week by the lovely Jennifer Lippert and her adorable puppy Henry (who is entertainingly present throughout). Jennifer is the Costume Designer for the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. Jennifer takes us behind-the-scenes into the process and development of creating workable, appropriate, and stunning costumes for the stage. We dive into some of her previous work on productions such as “A Christmas Story,” “Angels in America,” and Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night.” We also get into BTE’s current production of “Sanctuary City,” which premieres January 20, and how she decided to dress the cast in a post-9/11 inner-city environment. Links to Jennifer’s and BTE’s socials and websites can be found below. If you’re in the central Pennsylvania area, come out to Bloomsburg and see “Sanctuary City." The Storyweavers Video Podcast is available on our Patreon page; hop over to watch the in-studio conversation with Jennifer (and Henry).
