    A bizarre thing has happened in the world of The X-Files recently, Chris Carter has released a brand new cut of I Want to Believe, the divisive and often maligned movie that came out years after the series had ended. He created this cut with the intention of re-focusing the movie on the horror story as opposed to the relationship. Both of us watched the show (and honestly, Glenn was one of those kinda weird X-Files people), so when we found out about this movie, we knew that we wanted to watch it right away. So here we go with this bonus episode where we discuss The X-Files, I Want to Believe - Vrach Frankenshteyn We'll talk about the changes that were made, the feel of the movie, the philosophical attempt to draw a parallel between Scully as a doctor and the villainous doctor by correlating them to Frankenstein.     Alright alright alright! Summer is winding down, finally! For the penultimate part of our Summertime Madness series, we're closing out the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre series: TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE NEXT GENERATION We talk about the evolution of Matthew McConaughey, Rene the evolution of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, the evolution of Leatherface, Renée Zellweger playing a character that is constantly called ugly, continuity errors, attempts to bring back the craziness of the original, and how the movie stacks up in it's lofty goal of being the next successor to the wildly disjointed series. We'll also talk about the Illuminati and Freemasons, aliens, conspiracy theories, eggs and sneezing in a cat's face.

    A cult, a bear carcass, a month of nearly endless daytime, and the worst breakup ever. This week, we bask in warm, controversial rays of northern as we continue with our Summertime Madness series! MIDSOMMAR Midsommar and it's director, Ari Aster have become a divisive lightning rod for arguments in the horror community. So, in this episode, we'll ask tough questions like"Is this a 'good for her' movie?" and "is it acceptable to diagnose mental conditions for fictional characters, or people you don't know?" and "Is college for everyone" and "is it wrong to break up with someone during a tragedy, holiday, or other inconvenient times?" We'll talk about character writing and creating multiple ways to look at someone, pissing on the ancestral trees and other inappropriate places, hallucinogens, "elevated horror," psychology students, paganism and religion, and folk horror being compared to Wicker Man. Love it or hate it, this movie brings a lot of interesting discussion points to the table! So join us as we venture into the nearly endless sunlight of Midsommar!
