ST:TNGeez! Season Six: “Bigfoot Bonus Episode”

Ever wanted the most famous Cryptid and his grown man sidekick who still goes by the name “Wildboy” to take over your Star Trek the Next Generation podcast? Well your wish has come true! That’s right, it’s Bigfoot and Wildboy, two of Andrew and Dave’s most recent re-occurring guests who somehow have infiltrated this show about Star Trek the Next Generation! As the show has been coursing through Season Six, the boys bumped into a conversation about Sid and Marty Krofft’s Saturday morning live action show from the 1970’s that featured James Dothan of Scotty from the original series fame. Scotty returned to the Enterprise in Season Six’s “Relics”, a truly wonderful episode. The Doohan talk naturally lead to an adjacent conversation about the Krofft’s “Bigfoot and Wildboy” then inspiration took hold as Dave and Andrew voice-worked up a storm as the unlikely crime fighting team navigated their world. Bigfoot and Wildboy have been brought back subsequent times and even met the crew of the Enterprise D! (If you’ve never listened to an episode of ST:TNGeez! Not Another Star Trek Podcast, that’s how the show goes — the show is like a black hole for pop culture tangents. Join us for an episode where Bigfoot hosts fan favorite characters as Wildboy gets annoyed by them. It’s Alexander, JeanLuc Picard, and even Wesley Crusher! All coming at you from a forest studio in the Pacific North West. So, pull up a log, grab a slice of Bigfoot’s tree bark pizza and get ready to laugh… or groan on this exciting BONUS episode of ST:TNGeez! ST:TNGeez: 6.11 "Chain of Command, Part 2"

So you like watching TNG for some light entertainment? You are so out of luck this time because it’s “Chain of Command, Part 2” on this all-new episode of ST:TNGeez, Not Another Star Trek Podcast, and it’s coming at you right about … NOW! Last time on Star Trek: The Next Generation, our beloved Capt. Jean-Luc Picard was replaced as captain of the Enterprise by one Edward Jellico, a hard-ass, uncompromising martinet. Intent on turning the D into a warship, Jellico alienated the Hell out of our beloved crew with his exacting orders. His distinct lack of warmth got Number One’s panties in a bunch, and it doesn’t get better in this episode. Jellico and Riker’s antipathy explodes when it's revealed our Jean-Luc is a prisoner of the Cardassians, and Jellico seems indifferent to Picard’s plight! Picard was captured last episode when he, Bev, and Worf attempted to infiltrate a Cardassian base. Little did they know the whole mission was a trap set up to snare Picard! Back aboard the D, Data’s the new Number One, and Riker is left pouting in his quarters. But as nasty as things are on the Enterprise, they’re even nastier in Gul Madred’s office where Jean-Luc faces one of his greatest battles. Will Picard have the will to withstand his captors? Will Data get used to that red uniform? Will Riker finally go be captain somewhere else? Find out in this all-new episode of ST:TNGeez, Not Another Star Trek Podcast! ST:TNGeez: 6.10 "Chain of Command, Part 1"

The Enterprise is tooling along between shuttling an ambassador here, taking an obsessed astrophysicist there when — BANG, the show goes all Special Ops! That’s right, just when this Galaxy Class thing was stable and moving as the stayed and regular-ol weekly thing, it decided to turn the table over and shake all the pieces loose! Captain Picard gets un-captained by the new, and Coxian Jelico! That’s right, our captain’s special jacket gets removed only to be replaced by special-ops-ninja black! Seems our Cap is on a super-secret mission with his crack team of Lieutenant Worf...Ah, okay, I guess that makes sense, and… Beverly Crusher? Bev? Okay, okay… no Data, the super-strong robot? Huh. Not the empath who can read through shit like, I don’t know, traps? Huh! Double Huh! JLP’s  team is training in the holodeck for a super secret mission while newly anointed Captain Jelico is Jelico-ing the shit out of the Enterprise and making the crew, and especially our second in command Riker question why he took this second seat in the first place? Just when the wondering gets deep enough, the Cap and his black-tighted team beam planet-side to infiltrate a cave they were fake-infiltrating in the Holodeck – except this cave is a trap and despite Worf’s ongoing struggle with doors, the Captain is alone and captured. Will Jellico-Cox become the next Captain of the Enterprise? Will Troi get comfortable with not exposing herself in  revealing “V”necks?  Will Jean Luc wind up questioning lights – oh wait, that’s not this episode – it’s next! Find out all of this and more in this exciting episode of “ST:TNGeez, Not Another Star Trek Podcast. Even more available at: https://tngeez.com

ST:TNGeez: 6.9 "The Quality of Life"

The Enterprise D is paying a visit to Tyrus VII A! We assume Tyrus VII was booked for the weekend, so they were stuck with Tyrus VII A. Bummer. Anywho, what Tyrus VII A lacks in prestige it makes up for in kick ass particle fountains! The grit and grime and danger of mining got you down? Well, Dr. Farallon has the answer for you, shooting a particle cannon from space to do your mining for you! Sounds perfect except the particle fountain is a temperamental bit of tech that threatens to overload every ten minutes. That seems pretty dangerous in and of itself! But don’t worry, Dr. Farallon has a solution for that, too, in the guise of Exocomps! That’s right, Exocomps, little balls of robot who can be sent into perilous situations to fix problems before they blow up and kill everyone on board! Yay! Sounds good until the Exocomps decide they aren’t doing that shit any more. Seems they’ve gained a degree of sentience that comes with a healthy dose of self-preservation. Dr. Farallon says she’ll strip them of their smarts and send them in anyway until one Lt. Commander Data says no. Seems he feels a kinship with the little robotic rascals, and he intends to defend their right to choose, even if it means Picard and Geordi’s lives! Will Picard and LaForge be able to stop the particle fountain from exploding? Will Riker and the crew be able to rescue their stranded colleagues? Will Data come to his robotic senses and realize there’s no show without Sir Pat? ST:TNGeez: 6.7 "Rascals"

Remember when the transporter, Holodeck, warp core, etcetera malfunctioned and then,  fill in the blank disaster happens? Yeah, this episode THAT happens! It’s episode 6, Season 6, “RASCALS” and it’s kids, kids, kids! Up the space butt with the kids! And the show had just promised us it would tone down on the kids, didn’t it? Did it, or was that just Ambassador Andrew’s wishful thinking? Seems the Enterprise transporter has gone all wicky-wack, but in the tykiest of ways! Picard, Guinan, Ro, and Keiko are beaming back from a… wait, those four together on an away mission?… okay…. They’re beaming back to the Enterprise when O'Brien screws the pooch on the materializing and these fools come in… young! That’s right, the away team returns as younger versions of themselves! Some of them are cool about it-- Basically Guinan! And some are conflicted, for sure. Picard has to struggle with commanding a galaxy-class vessel, now with a full head of hair, and a full head lower than Number One! Ro has to struggle with returning to her childhood which was pretty f****d up! Keiko has to try to be a kid-mom and a weirdly awkward kid-wife to the douche that made this nonsense happen, her husband O’Brien! Then there’s Whoopie, kid Whoopie, and she’s chill with the whole being a kid thing again, like n`` n this second time around? Will Riker be able to take orders from his Middle School Captain? Will O’Brien be made the most uncomfortable member of the Next Gen cast in the creepiest of TNG scenes ever… EVER! Find out on this all new episode of ST:TNGeez! Not Another Star Trek Podcast!
