4 stars because it feels like we are waiting for a while before getting into the issues. It makes this boring. The best episodes however were the interviews you had with Michael Peterson who wrote an investigative report on the real origins of the ces letter. I knew even when I first heard, read, and visited the ces letter website how ridiculous this whole letter is. Michael and Jacob did amazing work to expose the evil intent of Jeremy Runnells. He is a marketer not a researcher so he knows how to hook people and he even admitted the letter wasn’t for the CES Director and that he has a “target audience.” If you guys get a little more to the point it will make things so much better.

This podcast essentially sidesteps every piece of evidence presented in the infamous CES Letter. No new information is ever presented. Minor corrections/quibbles over individual minutiae are used to try to discredit the topic without addressing the preponderance of evidence. Was very hopeful to have some answers to the genuine questions that many members are faced with; however, I was left feeling like every answer was just “we can’t actually know 100% for sure, therefore we will just ignore the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.”

As someone who has never read the CES letter, this podcast gives me more motivation to do so. Rarely do the host and Dr Harper actually share answers beyond "have faith" or "modern revelation" to apologize and explain away legitimate problems in Mormon theology and history. More and more people seeking truth will find this podcast and I think, like me, will be inspired to seek real answers from the actual CES letter and its extensive documentation. That's the only reason you get a star from me.
