Subtle Propaganda is an irreverent and ill-advised discussion of current events, pop culture, news, politics, military culture, video games, and fight videos. Rob, Drew, Mike, and Joe share their opinions on polarizing topics and issues. We invite unfettered discourse and participation. We’re always late, have the hottest takes, best beards, and one of us may be a part of the holy trinity. Whatever we talk about, it’s sure to be from a position of false expertise or subtle propaganda.

Crabs In A Bucket
This week it’s a two man show as Rob was out with the Irish flu. Drew and Mike take the reins and dive into Conor McGregor’s recent injury and defeat (2:29)—orthopedic surgeons are making a killing off the UFC. As the Taliban reclaims large swaths of Afghanistan, the boys would be remiss if they didn’t provide a breakdown and their view amongst some other geopolitical items of note (22:30). Wrapping up the hour, Mike and Drew provide some commentary on recent films such as Tomorrow War and Army of the Dead (43:43). We hope you enjoy the new abbreviated format of our episodes and we look forward to our next. Cheers!

Taxation anti-virus
The gang is back after a protracted break between episodes and dove into the strange life of eccentric millionaire John McAfee. We examine his software career, fame, crimes, his life on the run from the US government, and his eventual demise. Next, we ponder what do you do with tax evaders? (18:00). Rob and Mike discuss how the mafia created the FBI and its impact on society (36:00). Finally, the show ends with a review of movies and a series of questions: What was Tom Hanks's best performance? Is Army of the Dead good? Joe Pesci is the best gangster. Why are documentaries awful?

How many Cicadas can you eat?
In this week’s episode, we dive straight in talking about this idea of eating bugs for example cicadas. That brings us down the road of lab-grown meat and the potential for it to become the norm(31:56). We end by talking about the documentary “Alone in the wilderness” and what an incredible story it is(44:45). Finally touching on the navy’s choice not to let football players defer their service to go to the NFL.

The Boys Are Back In Town
Following a short vacation, we are back to announce college graduations, medical school acceptances and that we missed you all dearly. We open the episode by catching you up on our recent rendezvous and then move to those pesky UFO’s (24:16) ultimately tossing some shade at NDT (41:03). We catch you up on the American Oliver Twist story of the Florida orphans who went to the mattresses with local law enforcement (47:04) and close the hour with Ransomeware (53:11) and Infrastructure (57:00). The 2nd hour is all Covid: Covid lotteries (1:03:13) and show us where the Fauci emails touched you (1:21:41). We wrap up with some normal movie banter. We are stoked to be back and, as always, many thanks for the support everyone!

Fauci freedom and free-riders
The CDC changing the mask guidelines might have been the most important event last week, but we found an Army recruitment video, "Emma The Calling," that makes the CIA video look like a masterpiece. As a result, we knock down the virtue signal and highlight the shortsightedness of the Army's objective. Next, we discuss the Israel and Palestine conflict and the stupidity of world peace (27:20). Rob and Drew share their love for Julius Caesar (56:54). Epic sued Apple and hilarity ensues (1:12:46). Next, the gang emphasizes the importance of protecting polite speech (1:25:33). Finally, we talk about what really matters. Fauci and the CDC have granted vaccinated freedom, but they might have overlooked the free-rider problem (1:41:45).
