Expectancy. I like the word. It feels hopeful. It’s filled with anticipation, the kind of mental alertness that causes a person to lean forward, eyes wide open with heart pumping desire. To me it rightly expresses what happens to us when we become aware of God’s love for us. God is a good Father who loves to give himself away to us. His truth liberates us. His strength empowers us. Why the HOPE?
Are you living hopefully? Are you prepared to give an answer if someone asked you, ‘Why do you have such hope?’ If we know who Jesus is, if we have embraced what he has done for us, and if we have been impacted by his life, we will be able to give an inviting answer. We can become difference-makers.
