    103. Finding Balance in Family Life with Leslie Martino

We live in a culture that tends to spiral into MORE. We spend time with a friend and suddenly find ourselves enrolled in a new activity. We scroll social and buy a new product. We walk through Target and suddenly find ourselves "needing" thing we didn't know about when we walked in

Has your family always been attracted to slow living, or did you have a breaking point to get there?

What benefits does slow and less have on kids?

How can we support our kid's natural curiosities?

What do we have to lay down anything to get balance?

    102. Little Habits To Grow Big Faith with Christie Thomas

    102. Little Habits To Grow Big Faith with Christie Thomas

For many of us doing “quiet time,” “Bible time,” or “Devotions” with our kids feels like an all-or-nothing experience. We have in our mind what we think it should look like, and if we fall short of that we just give up.

What impact do parents have on faith? Can they just leave that for Kid’s church?

What happens if we try to copy the way other families teach faith?

How do we find our family’s why?

How do I have that conversation with my husband or wife? What happens if they don’t see it the way that I do?

If I have to do it alone where do I start?

    101. When You Want to Quit Motherhood with Sharon Jaynes

    101. When You Want to Quit Motherhood with Sharon Jaynes

Many are living out the dream of adult life we had as children. Then some days stressor after stressor keeps piling on, until we wondered why this is something we ever even asked for. It can feel especially guilt-inducing when it involves being a parent to our children.

The feelings come up with the wish that we could quit motherhood. How do we give ourselves a time-out?

Quitting isn't really an option in motherhood, so what do we do after we've had that outburst, or even secret desire to quit? How does time with Jesus help?

What do we do with our guilt? How does social media contribute to comparison with mothers.

Seeing our struggle in motherhood as spiritual warfare that comes from doing deeply valuable work.

    100. Is Everyone Happier Than Me? with Sarah Bragg

    100. Is Everyone Happier Than Me? with Sarah Bragg

Fear of missing out is real and if we are honest it doesn't just affect teenagers. Many of us struggle with comparison and feel that everyone must be happier than we are. I related a lot to swirling thoughts keeping you awake. You've said FOMO is one of the main things that kept you awake at night! When did you first become aware of that tendency?

Why do you think so many of us struggle to process emotions? It's one thing to realize we need change... How did you start creating change in your life?

Something you said struck me... "Creativity combats comparison and leads to feelings of happiness." Can you tell us about that?

How has curiosity led to happiness for you?

It's vital to shift ourselves, but how can we also shift as communities?

    99. How We Show Kids They Are Valuable with Caroline Saunders

    99. How We Show Kids They Are Valuable with Caroline Saunders

Throughout history, we've been tempted to think of children as less than adults, but when Jesus came he turned that ideology on its head with his teaching. Jesus radically declared "Let the little children come to me, and do not forbid them." Today my guest and I are going to talk about what full inclusion for kids looks like in the body of Christ!

Where do we first see the idea of all human life being valuable to God?

Can you talk about some Old Testament examples of God using children, even though they would have been considered "lesser citizens?"

Why does Jesus' invitation to children matter?

How do we show our kids how valuable they are to the church, family, and kingdom?

How do we value the kids in our communities, and encourage our community to do the same?
