Back to on demand services this week after a rare foray this year into the cinema last week sees us return to discuss the latest Fangoria Presents film. Having already covered Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich and Satanic Panic from Fangoria now comes the follow up from Joe Begos who brought us the trippy as hell Bliss late last year. With a promise of plenty of gore if the previously mentioned films is anything to go by; let’s get bloody together. Elsewhere this week; Stranger Things drops a surprisingly teaser out of nowhere which does it’s job of keeping up excited for what’s to come. Matt finished watching all the Saw films once again and remains upbeat despite subjecting himself to The Final Chapter once again. And for some reason Mike watched Ghoulies 2. Don’t ask me why.

We are back in the cinema for only the second time this year as we reconvene to discuss the latest big budget attempt at a disaster horror hybrid. Will this one achieve where so many have failed? And just how much money can you throw a one project? Let’s find out. Elsewhere this week; Sam Raimi gets back in the director’s chair for the first time in a very long while. Jennifer Tilly seems to be confirmed for the Chucky TV series. The Hunt finally gets another release date. And Parasite infects the Oscars in a good way. Closing out the show we debate the highs and lows of TV vs Film and whether most TV shows are worth the considerable time afforded to them.

Of course the FrightFest thrills keep on coming. This week we are discussing a film we were actually in the same building when it was screened at last year’s festival but we were at a different screening for the incredible Freaks. Now, with a Arrow Video bluray to boot, we are finally getting round to watching this film we’ve wanted to check out since last year. Elsewhere this week; Eli Roth has some ambitious but confusing plans. Netflix's Resident Evil series gets some new details. And rounding out the show we end our ongoing discussions on Dracula having seen the final episode. Can it end with a bang? That would be telling.

Harpoon is available on digital services and Arrow Bluray now

    #SHB181 - The Grudge

With our first cinema outing of 2020; we have returned to discuss the latest sequel/remake/reboot/ spiritual successor in the long running Grudge franchise. Yes that’s right. They made another Grudge. I’m surprised as you are. And we are here to give you our verdict on this; the latest Grudge film. Grudge. Also on the show; we are either getting massively trolled or we’re about to have a lot of fun in the coming weeks after a reportedly leaked title for the upcoming Saw film gives us plenty to chat about. Finally to end the show this week we are talking television with a more in depth look at BBC’s Dracula and Matt has watched a show which he is in love with. Is it Watchmen? Let’s find out.

    #SHB180 - Parasite

This week sees us discuss a film that’s been in a lot of headlines over the past month having already secured some big wins on the awards circuit and looks to continue that momentum in the coming weeks. But the real recognition of course comes from the Super Horror Bros seal of approval. We are chatting Parasite and whether this Korean hit is worth your time whether you’re after a horror film or just a damn good time. Elsewhere this week, Mindhunter gets put on hiatus. Watchmen seemingly walks away at the top. Don’t Breathe 2 gets a director. And we have some great ideas for the title of the next Saw film which at the time of recording still doesn’t have an actual title.

Parasite is available in UK cinemas 7th February and on digital services worldwide now

The Best Weekly Horror Podcast!

There simply isn't another podcast that covers new theatrical horror movies throughout the year, like Super Horror Bros does. Matt and Mike are passionate fans of the horror genre, and that is apparent in every episode. They create this amazing podcast because they love horror movies, so this podcast is really for horror fans, created by horror fans. They have an incredible format that features reviews of current theatrical films, current on-demand films, and of course horror film news. Everyone covers the classics, but far fewer cover current movies and that is what makes Super Horror Bros, an essential podcast for horror film fans and receives my highest recommendation.

Suicide Squad

While I have different opinions about Suicide Squad, than y'all, I really enjoy how you break down the movie and give it a legit film review, not just a blockbuster surface review. Keep it up guys, I'll be catching up with the rest of your episodes!
